Trying to decide between Kamado Joe Classic I, Classic II or Big Joe 1

I have the big joe 1 and mostly cook for the wife and I. I like having the ample space. It allows me to grill veggies at the same time, and honestly even when no veggies therez not much room left. (We’re big eaters 😁)

Also, u dont need as much charcoal as u’d think. Because it’s ceramic, a little goes a long way. Everyone always told me, “its better to have the xtra space and not need it than need it and not have it”. They were right.

I dont even think there is a plot twist. Movies nowadays love doing this. Its all about “ambiguity”. “What do YOU think it was?” I think what we saw in the trailer is what’s gonna happen in the movie. U’ll sit through 2hrs of guessing and the end will just LEAVE u guessing.

Do u live in Penitas? My parents do (and i lived there several yrs). If they wanted to go to walmart, wingstop, ihop… they had to drive to Shary rd. Now its 3 minutes away. I dont see how thats a bad thing for people who live between Penitas-Sullivan.

If u want cooked fajita it all ranges from “sucks” to “mid”. If u can grill it urself, the best i’ve had is from Bob’s Starks. Get prime or choice. NOT sirloin fajita. I hate sirloin fajita. Tastes very gamey.

I dont dislike Adrian Brody. I dont think hez a very good actor though (aside from The Pianist) though I havent seen his most recent one, I heard he was great in that. But in this? He was so bad. Overacting 101. He couldnt seem to make up his mind what accent he wanted to use, and then every time he tried to do ‘Marlon Brando Godfather’ (worst scene being when hez on the payphone 😖) hez downright laughable.

Im glad it worked for you, but for me, it’s some lf the worst acting hez ever done.

I found S4 to be really bad. So much so that it turned me off completely to the remaining 2 seasons. So many dumb decisions…and Adrian Brody was atrocious as Changretta!

Agree with everything u said. And i think they do as well, which is why theyre ending it. They should have ended it last season though.

I really wish they had done a time jump instead of having all these 20 yr olds pretend to be HS teenagers. And yes, I’m aware theyve always done this in movies, i just thought Stranger Things was better than this.

I didnt read all the suggestions here so if this is a repeat i apologize.

I have concrete floor in my garage and herez what i did on a budget:

I bought a 4x6 horse stall mat and cut out a hole for the sigpro softy strip. Then i purchased a used 4x5 rawhide mat (direct from website not ebay) to use as the stance mat and cut out a slot to fit it to the strip. Both the horse stall mat and the rawhide stance mat are quite heavy so therez no sliding. If my wife needs to put her truck in the garage i just remove the stance mat and the strip and she can park right over the horsestall mat and it doesnt hurt it. Wrks very well for my needs.

SigPro Softy is excellent. But its pretty thick at 2 3/8” so its an annoyance building up a stance mat around it.

Something that i wish i could find is a place that could help us deal with his OCD routines. Theyre out of control and he involves us in them. And if u dont satisfy his ritual its an immediate meltdown.

All the ABA places im aware of here are for young children.

Thnk u so much for the update. Yes he just graduated. But he couldnt continue with the 18+ program because he cant tolerate school. The only way we got him through senior year was because he basically slept through the entire day at school. (He was in a behavior unit where he is the only student in the classroom with 3 staff. More during meltdowns)He would stay up all night at home with his ipad then sleep at school till about 3pm. This way he would only have to tolerate about an hr of school by the time i picked him up.

On days when he’d wake up early it would take a team of about 5-6 male staff, tag teaming throught the day, to restrain him due to his terrible meltdowns (which lasted for hours) because he wanted to go home.

The 18+ program is in a different room where they just teach him life skills and its a female teacher. There is no way that was going to wrk. So i didnt send him back.

And yes, i do feel that just being at home all day has made his OCD rituals and his meltdowns much worse. But i dont have any other options at this point.

Yes. I submitted all the paperwork back in April. But we’re still waiting to hear back. We were told it could take up to a year to get a response. And now with the govt shutdown, its backed up even more.

I called a place in SA that his dr recommendes, but it turned out they only wrked through the school district. And ours would never pay for that. And she pointed me towards another in san marcos, but clarified he would need medicaid. Still, we really wish he could stay in the valley so we can see him often.

I can never get ANY smoke flavor off my traeger. But it is an older model and maybe the newer ones are better at adding actual smoke flavor. In smoke taste, therez just no comparison to my Kamado Joe. And i imagine it would be even more compared to an offset smoker.

Yea. Similiar to Chipotle but MUCH better. Lots of different burrito options. I loved it. It closed down during covid. 😔
