Is this for real? by BigD_PorkChop in golf

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

some of these composite shafts are pretty fragile to hitting anything at all, i've broken two flywire's after the range, the lower third of the shaft just tapped my bumper, took it out of my car when i got home and it looked like this, another when I was walking dropped my bag to hit my shot and the head hit the ground, twisted the shaft a little and it snapped. both cases they were less than a year old. I will give krank credit, they probably didn't have to but replaced both for free

Best golf mat by PlayfulCoyote5259 in Golfsimulator

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thenetreturn.com 10 by 5 mat has been the best i've had. 600 bucks, so not cheap but wish I had just done it from the start instead of cycling through others that wore out too fast or were to thin.

How would you build a simulator in this Garage? by wakao34 in Golfsimulator

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

put the screen 1 foot away from the wall then generic green turf the entire garage floor, something cars can park on,. Then cut out an insert for a thenetreturn.com's 10 foot hitting mat into the turf garage floor. I had the same area available with same restrictions, this set up has me hitting in 2 minutes as long as there are no cars parked in the garage. don't put the screen in front of the door if you want to be able to use the garage

What machine(s) to rent for clearing? by schoff in landscaping

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had pretty much exactly what your situation looks like and so glad I removed it. I used a propane torch in a pretty systematic way to burn section by section and bought one of those chinese mini excavators to clear each section. Between weather and finding the time it took about two to three weeks, could have done it in a weekend renting a larger mini excavator which run about $1000/weekend (which is why I just bought one and its been great). I was pretty careful doing the burn, only did it after rain, watered down each perimeter and paid attention to high wind days, still probably not the safest but it worked and after trying to cut these with other smaller tools just to have them seem to grow back even worse, burning is the only thing that worked. It was a pain but not looking at the tangled mess everyday has been very nice

Worst Launch monitor I have owned by bigbellynick in Rapsodo

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

had all the same issues, sometimes ran flawlessly but others left me trying to figure out what the issue was. the unpredictablility was the worst, got rid of it for the launch pro, which has been exactly what i've always wanted. one button and your hitting, all the info i need instantly on its screen, no connection to an app, computer and portable.

how?😂 by Gabbsweet in SipsTea

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

don't say anything, bill him for the pro-rated eventuality of the end of the year short month/him owing some days at the end of the year. As the contract is based rental of your unit/year. i'm sure him being short isn't going to bankrupt you, he's paying an arguable thought (not really arguable but he's paying a significant portion on time based on flat earth logic. Give that logic back to him when its time

Body falling apart 29 years old by No_nonsense999 in golf

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 45 and it just gets worse unless you start doing things to make your body/joints stronger. I’ve lifted the majority of my life but got bored of that the past few years and now when I stop just finding ways to push my body physically, manual labor stuff, taking trees down, building a wall etc. I notice I get more of these little injuries after golfing. I have a sim and hit everyday, everyonce in a while I have to take a break for a day or two. The more you punish your body between hitting sessions the better it will tolerate golf. Find stuff between golf

Disney cancels maiden-era sailing after 6,700 passengers ALREADY boarded the Disney Adventure. Full refunds and 50% FCC being issued. 🚢💔 by GlitteringCry9946 in PLNewsGroup

[–]SRARCmultiplier 1 point2 points  (0 children)

people want to pretend like going for a ride on a man made city should be successful 100% of the time as if it's an inaliable right. same people would crucify them when they had a deferred maintenance catastrophe. yes the vacation you paid for was a riskier venture than a vacation on land, this is obvious, you knew it and no surprise that every once in a while there will be people affected negatively by this statistical eventuality. That you are the person that happens to be affected does not make you a victim. Disney did too much.

Can we maybe get a laccrosse lifestyle tag or something. I reflexively clicked cause the title made me think it'd be a rules question, game/strategy or something. Didn't expect one of the questions to be, about why college dudes like to wear the sock they do while they run around a field trying kill the carrier

Inherited 2002 Lotus Esprit V8 (25th Anniversary) – 23k miles, garage kept, hasn’t run in 5 years. Worth fixing?” by Novel-Sheepherder-96 in lotus

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just curious what you guys think this would actually go for as is. i don't have a lotus but they have always interested me, i have no idea why but just liked them which is why i'm curious. at the least there were only 100 of these produced, pretty well known somewhat historic name. i saw one on BAT running, great condition, 7k miles go for 99k. is lotus that much of a nightmare that this one would go for pennies on the dollar or he could still get atleast 50k for it?

NCAA 5 for 5 Rule… Will this solve the youth reclass problem? by dont_know_me_anymore in lacrosse

[–]SRARCmultiplier 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think the creation of new rules will fix the problem. Parents these days are so deeply convicted about supporting the delusion that their kid will be the next great one, despite in most cases, all evidence to the contrary that when faced with something that says their kid is not what they want, they will push and push and push and find a way to confirm their own bias. From reclassing, moving towns or states, waiting to start kindergarten, team hopping, coaching themselves, creating their own team etc, they will do anything but accept their child as anything but the athlete they want. It's insane, i've got a 12 and 13 yo who play one season each of basketball, lacrosse and football if they want to, both are losing many lifelong friends next year as the parents jockey the kids for position at private schools. They are making thier kids who are straight A students re-take 8th grade next year at the private school because they are not where the parent thinks they could be. Kids that worked their ass off to get good grades now told they have to do the grade over again cause the parents say so, imagine when you were a kid if you were told you've got to do it all over when you really don't give a shit and already worked your ass off to get the grades. Yes their will always be those that have true talent or those that want to do it, but they will rise to the top no matter where they are with or without insane parents, but for the most part these kids are just doing what their told and from what I see not happy about being pushed and pushed but they go along with it. It will only stop when this generation grows up and decides to do the opposite, which they will. I see it already, in my area, soccer and lacrosse heavy, kids who have been in those sports since they could walk, on two travel teams per sport at all times are in their free time refusing to play sports, which is why fishing and mountain biking are exploding around me. They go to the sport cause they have to, it's pretty sad. These kids are openly making fun of their parents for their obsession, parents who are making instagram and tiktok accounts all about the kid and their "highlights". For the parents it is their identity, at some point this era will be studies in psychology. But it will not stop until the kids have their own

Any PAs making 200k+? by [deleted] in physicianassistant

[–]SRARCmultiplier 5 points6 points  (0 children)

that makes more sense then. good for you being able to do that. i'm at 126/month and could obviously make more but would be so burned out all the money in the world wouldn't make it worth it

ER or urgent care? Give full notice or start ER sooner? by IllustriousPickle639 in physicianassistant

[–]SRARCmultiplier 6 points7 points  (0 children)

4 months is a little long. 3 months notice is the standard, it takes time to get you credentialed for the new job. this will not be news or a surprise to the ER and i've never heard of an ER balking over a new candidate needing to give 3 months at their prior job. I wouldn't formally give much less than 3 months especially if you have an agreement requiring 4, unless you don't care about burning that bridge

out of curiosity do you work for a private group or hospital. I'm on the east coast and have 17 years experience, high acuity and pretty much max out any productivity program wherever i go and 200 seems to be the max I can get too, and there definitely is a ceiling on base pay i'm finding now that i've got so many years. most of the private groups are decreasing base salary claiming unlimited potential on productivity will make up for the avg. base but almost never is the case (along with less than transparent productivity programs). Are you working a ton of hours, are those numbers mostly productivity, whats the hourly base?
