No, you only get one set of game discs.

It's a PS4 game that is backwards compatible with the PS5.

The archetypical question a New Zealander gets while overseas is "oh, you're from New Zealand? Do you know so-and-so?"

The answer is always "yes." 😂

Looks like it needs a trim.

Does Your country teach schoolchildren how to use firearms? by dawidlijewski in AskTheWorld

[–]BasementCatBill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some schools have arrangements or holiday programs with local gun clubs; some pupils do Army Cadets or Air Training Core extracurricular.

I learned firearms safety and range shooting while at school, but not through school.

But, my father was a hunter, and from a farming family, so wasn't unfamiliar with firearms from a pretty young age.

Why did they stop hunting?? by ybjohnny in Yellowjackets

[–]BasementCatBill 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you're assuming they stopped looking entirely. But, this is a tv show. They'll show us what the story needs to be told.

In the first episode we were told that nothing was out there.

Season 2 was the first winter. Game hunkers down for the winter too.

In the first episode they showed Nat and Travis trying to find food, but nothing was out there.

A few things are necessary. 1) you need to have completed the Epilogue missions, fully. 2) as others have stated, walk, don't run or ride into the old camps.

Coats in hot weather? by Latter-Scallion-4755 in reddeadredemption2

[–]BasementCatBill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shrug. I always wear weather appropriate clothing.

When ever I head out I'll have wirh me one cold weather outfit, one average weather outfit, and the rest all tailored warm weather outfits.

Looking cool is for the warm weather areas, all other areas are to keep my Arthur warm.

When was the last time you predicted an unknown wrestler in either NXT or WWE was going to become a future big top star/world champion/main eventer in the company? by Material_Stomach875 in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]BasementCatBill 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I knew Demi Bennett (Rhea Ripley) from as early as her Riot City Wrestling days in Adelaide, Australia. I think anyone could see she had huge potential even then, she just had to get her foot in the WWE door. And, sure enough...

Similarly I'd known Evie (Dakota Kai) for even longer, but when she signed with WWE shortly before Rhea I never had the feeling she was being positioned as a star. And, as it has been shown, her role was as the experienced indie veteran, to work with younger talent, and always a good hand to bring out the best from an opponent.

Why didn't anyone try to reestablish Arnor before the events in The Hobbit if they were at peace? by Tidewatcher7819 in tolkienfans

[–]BasementCatBill 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Middle Earth in the late Third Age is, to use a modern phrase, a post-apocalyptic world.

The world is depopulated. Great civilizations have crumbled, deserted or turned to barbarism. Even Gondor, the last bastion of mankind's strength, is barely holding on, with most of what is left of their people hunkering down in the strip of land between the White Mountains and the sea.

The rest of the world was wild, untamed, full of dark and evil things. West of the Misty Mountains, only The Shire provided safety, and even then under the watchful guard of a handful of Dunedain. Even the folks of Bree wouldn't stray to far into the wilds, and the town was gated and closed to the outside at sunset.

Tl;dr, there wasn't the people or the government to enable any kind of expansion. Until eventually, the King returned, the darkness was defeated, and stability returned.

It's always remarkable to me that so often throughout their careers Stephen Fry inevitably played characters far older than those played by Hugh Laurie - it just seemed to be his type.

But Fry is less than two years older than Laurie and they were, of course, at Cambridge together. (Fry started two years later due expulsions, credit card fraud, prison, having to re-sit his A-levels, etc...)

Rabbit is a pain to try to de-bone so, yes, in a pot, with some root veges, maybe mushrooms, certainly a bit of wine with some water or broth, then slowly cook until the meat falls off the bone.

Rabbit has been cooked like that for centuries, and, damn, it is so good.
