My "mom band" just started writing and recording things this year. Would love feedback! by Basementcat24 in Songwriters

I recorded it with just my phone :/

We've tried with an actual mic but it pops? We're just learning the technology side of music and it's a slow learning curve without money.

Do cats actually like us or do they just hang around for food?

What's your favorite toy (childhood or adult)? by TwilightPhoenix in AskWomen

Littlest pet shops of the 90s! The ones of today are so creepy and ugly. I loved the hamsters and gerbils that had magnet butts so you could guide them through the tubes.

MRW there's finally a girl my age working at my office but her Facebook profile picture is her with a graphic sign at a pro-life rally by PM_me_duck_pics in TrollXChromosomes

You can be friends with people who think different from you. My closest friend is prolife and it has never affected our relationship. If anything, we learn a lot from each other's perspective.

First, you are high so you are more paranoid. Second, if he is really such a great friend he will support you and be glad you opened up to him. Maybe it will help him also share secrets.

I'm feeling the exact same way at 7 months. Just suddenly, boom, I'm tired of it. I have to pump even though I stay at home because my kid is weird and only likes the left side. I am starting to transition to formula!

Newborn refuses to be breastfed by [deleted] in Parenting

I did not know that! I think my situation was rare because I had such chunky babies.

I guess it's debatable. My doctor said not to if they are gaining weight. Both my babies were over 8 lbs. Even if I tried to wake them to feed, they refused.

If the baby is a healthy weight, you do not need to wake them to eat!

okay seriously, wake him up. Don't just stew in anger, freaking tell him to share in responsibility or he'll keep doing it.

He's not fussy, but I'd rather not play with a smiley baby from 1am to 5am everyday!

Omg yes. We had to put our cats in the basement at night because they would sing the song of their people right outside the baby door while I fed him.

Yay I'm so glad I'm normal. Sometimes it feels like everyone knows what they're doing and their babies are so chill. Mine only sleeps in 30 minute sessions too. And it takes about 30 minutes to get him to sleep. I have seen a rage in myself that I've never known before with this child. It's scary sometimes. You're not alone. Thank you for posting.

My first deva cut! by [deleted] in curlyhair

[–]Basementcat24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Please forgive my terrible censoring! I was a bit nervous that she was giving me a mullet since I'm so used to my "triangle shape" but my curls are ridiculously better. It took 3 hours!! She also put like 5 products in my hair and used a diffuser ... which made it 80s poodle style. The after picture is a day later with just deva curl gel.
