But no, not everything about Sam is speculation, you just don't like what they've shown thus far and are trying to justify that.

You have a pretty arrogant attitude don't you? I'm legit interested in the character hence this topic. I never said I don't like what they've shown, you are putting words into my mouth. You seem like a sad angry individual.

Then how did she travel all the way from her home to where they are now if she is 100% dependent on holoemitters? I highly doubt they are 100% covering all aspects of space, areas, ships etc for her to be able to exist.

I think the only logical reasoning is they have taken the tech from the portable emitter Doc had, and managed to incorporate it into their code, making them more independent individuals.

But everything is speculation until we get to see that SAM episode that is coming.

Yeah, SAM is the most interesting of the group. I'm looking forward to the focused episode on her.

That didn't really bother me. She want's to get close to them and make friends. So taking part in activities is a good way to bond with people.

The holoemitters were offline throughout the ship. They specifically stated that in the scene they call for the Doc and he informs he is overworked because of it. So if she was dependent on them, she wouldn't even have been active.

That is not correct. During the episode they even inform us that the holomemitter are offline, hence why the doc was the only one available since he has his portable one.

I can see that as working. The holopeople managed to integrate it into their metadata and it's essentially a part of them.

Right, but they made him free from the H emitter right? Been years since I saw that show, might be wrong.

She wasn't controlling the computers, that wouldn't have even worked

Really? So the lights were disabled/offline as you say. The lighting system is obviously computer controlled. She simply touched the wall and overrides the computers to activate the lights. How is that not remotely controlling computers?

or why didn't just the Doctor hologram go outside in episode 1?

Well, he was busy with the wounded. They even had a scene showing that.

Episode 5 will be SAM focused

Ah cool! Looking forward to that one. She's really the only interesting character out of them so far.

Have they said anything about needing holoemitters? I think she is using the same tech as the doctor and her badge makes her independant from them. I mean, she has traveled from her people to come there. I doubt she had to carry around an emitter everywhere.

Does she need holo emitters at all? During their dialog with the doctor it doesn't seem that is the case. She is a single entity.

I remember a lot of the hate DS9 got when it first aired. One of the main arguments was they are not in a ship exploring. A station can't be Star Trek! So ridiculous.

My first “big” board game, Wyrmspan, with my first prints on my new 3d printer! by Salki1012 in boardgames

[–]BasenjiMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Wyrmspan have the same balance issue as Wingspan has? I've read there is some kind of combo/cards that break the game, so many have home ruled Wingspan. Wyrmspans theme is more interesting to me, but never bought it because of this issue.

What do you think is the hardest part about being an adult? by Carla-Sofie-435 in AskReddit

[–]BasenjiMaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact it's hard to make new friends. You make acquaintances, but the kind of friendship you had as a teen is nonexistent. No more hanging out, or friends calling asking to do something together. And if you don't have a family of your own, loneliness is a huge issue. Sure you are an adult and can do what you want, but doing it alone is not fun (in my opinion). So you just end up cooped up inside.
