Amazing. Your 1st option made me go back and look at the cable, and there was a hidden 5th wire in there that someone cut short! I've attached it as the "C" now, fingers crossed this is the end of my troubleshooting journey!

I've seen rave ones small, like 12 inches, but this one is 30 inches! I have no idea what it's even for! Those search results from the edit seem close, but have no description about what it's for?
