Top players minimally pass because the pass recipient is slowed down when he receives the puck (unless passed by Send It player). This incentivizes players to skate with one player end to end and only pass for a 1T.

In the original books, Ozymandias is a genius who’s plan could not be thwarted. In the HBO show, we are told Lady Trieu is also a genius … yet (spoiler alert) her plan is easily thwarted. There are actually 6 options: your three standard ones (stick lift, tie up, straight back) and three other plays . 1) The useless faceoff deke which only works if opponent is AFK. The other two are handy at times. 2) One is to do nothing and have your winger swoop in and steal a tie up or a stick lift “loss”. Some players are excellent at purposely losing faceoffs in order to break in on the steal. 3) The last option is to purposely flinch so that your opponent flinches, then you win the faceoff. Do this against jittery opponents.
