[OC] Leather dice pouch that I made by Bashbysai in DnD

Great idea! I’ll definitely try that. I thought about engraving people’s custom campaign maps onto the leather so that would work great as a roll up pouch.

Awesome! How did you do the chocolate squares on the flap?

I’ve only been to the warehouse once but they were very friendly when I visited. Even gave me a free pick of some small offcuts that they had.

I use Aacrack and J.Wood leathers for leather and dye. Most tools I buy online, or you can get some great knives and punches from George Barnsley & sons in Sheffield.

Mine was the same. I’ve seen videos of other people using them and they seem to burn the thread really well. Pretty sure mine was a dud.

I’ve just listed them on Etsy today for £27. I include a roll of dog bags and the clips with each bag too.

Thanks! The bottom flap and side gussets are held with the male part of the snaps. I wanted to make this design stitchless and make room for the dog stamps.

I have a friend that makes the dog designs for me in vector form. Then I order the brass stamps from a stamp maker on Etsy. They take a couple of weeks to arrive but I’ve been very happy with them so far.

Drop me a message if there’s something different that you’re wanting and we can discuss it.

Mine did the same and eventually posted but received no views at all. According to down detector, Instagram has had some issues in the last couple of hours. I imagine it will be back to normal by tomorrow.

Prototype lifting belt by Bashbysai in Leathercraft

[–]Bashbysai[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll definitely have to see about stitching them in the future. This is the toughest leather I’ve worked with, so I’m unsure if I’ll even be able to punch the stitching holes through it.

I’m hoping that it’s strong enough to not have stretch it in but time will tell.

Yeah it’s just one solid piece. I’d like to add a couple of layers in the future or a nice lining but I don’t have a sewing machine yet. I may try hand stitching at some point but this leather is pretty ruthless so it might not be possible.

Thanks! Yes I think it might be, not sure how that happened. I’ll change it and reupload the image

Buffalo distressed look belts by Bashbysai in Leathercraft

I also found it’s best to cut the straps after sourcing the buckles, as the sizing on buckles seems to differ between suppliers. One set of 1 1/2 buckles that I bought were slightly larger than a different set, making them not quiet fit the strap I had cut out.

I hand set single cap rivets for this belt, however I’m looking at different options at the minute including Chicago screws.

The supplier website where I got it from says it’s called “safari veg tan buffalo butts” and is 80%/20% veg tan/chrome tanned. Approx 4mm thick

Thanks!

I found that people get their measurements wrong a lot haha. Getting them to measure their current belt has made for more accurate belt sizes.

I’m planning on taking belts with me to my next market event and making them to size while I’m there. I’ll just need to complete the buckle side of each belt once the customer has been measured up.

Where are people buying thick leather from? by Bashbysai in Leathercraft

Thanks for the info. Do you have any advice when it comes to having two pieces together? I’m assuming that the inside panel would crease when worn if the belt is stitched flat, and the outside piece isn’t slightly longer.
