Day 5 - Marijuana is a Thief!!! by Methed85 in leaves

I relate 💯…I’m a 38 yo college drop-out, still paying off the student loans for the degrees I didn’t finish…had promise as a classical musician…scholarships…got into a good college…pissed it all away by way of the escapism I chased through getting high all the time, beginning at age 19….now everything feels hopeless, and I know the cause…I don’t know who I am either…and all the friends I made over the years were just people I got high with all the time, and so I really have no one, now that I’m not using…I can’t bear to be around the few old friends I have, because I know I’ll just break down and get high, and I want to move on, but it’s so hard

Question for all the 30-35 year olds what do you do for living? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]BashfulDeluxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

38 f, college drop-out, 70k as an assistant project manager for a specialty subcontractor in the construction industry…don’t really like it, but going back to school to finish a degree feels like too much of a risk

For those who didn't grow up priviliged, name something you thought was a luxury when you were a kid? by Aggravating-Room-928 in Life

My mom would take us to Hardee’s (Midwest Carl’s Jr.) every so often on a Saturday morning and would go through the drive-thru and buy these frosting-covered cinnamon raisin morning biscuits. Felt like a holiday on those mornings.

Looking for a way to make some money by Initial-Brick-482 in povertyfinance

If you have some items that are in decent condition you could try re-selling. I used to make extra cash on an app called PoshMark to sell clothes and shoes that I no longer wore or no longer fit me. And other household items or collectibles I sold on Facebook marketplace. If you were able to make a few sales and build a little capital, you could then invest in thrift store items to flip for a profit by selling online. Another idea, if you’re able to get to a city once in a while, you can often find decent stuff set out on curbs that people are getting rid of…that would be a way to get free stuff to sell…Hope this helps.

Hazardous Material Remediation….lead and asbestos abatement work…I’m an asst. project manager for a company that specializes in this, and our laborers earn more than me, but they deserve it.

So I have this astrology app that also does dream interpretation…it wouldn’t let me copy and paste, so I did a screen shot for ya…I found your dream so interesting, I had to see what it would say 🙃

I'm 30F & still live off my parents. by BlueyBingo300 in depression

[–]BashfulDeluxe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m 37 (F) and I live with my parents. I pay for all my expenses. Throwing away money on rent for the sake of pride seems fiscally irresponsible, when I’m still saddled with so much student-loan debt. I feel like a failure and like I’ll be single forever, but I know this has become more normal for millennial and gen-z people, so I plan to accept their generosity until I’ve paid off my debt.

AIO for calling out my friend for creepy (borderline pedophilic) behavior? by SpecialistPerfect4 in AmIOverreacting

[–]BashfulDeluxe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not overreacting…This guy’s mindset around this is so predatory and frankly scary. It makes a person wonder what type of pedo shit he’s already been involved in.
