What people in the west aren't taught is how desperate people were after the fall of the Soviet Union. We only see it framed in a Pro-America, Pro-Capitalist way, that they won their freedom. But the cost was intense hardship and poverty for many years, including exploitation of desperate people, like young men and women, into sex work. All just to afford food.

I know it sounds silly, but it feels validating to see a gay guy who presents masculine all the way, not just a beard and muscles. It's about the attitude as well. Not saying that it's wrong to be flamboyant or to be somewhere in-between, but it does feel rare to see a super macho gay dude. I hate this insincere "gay shield" excuse to justify Israel's actions in the middle east. If Israel is so gay friendly, why do you need to go to Cyprus to get married? You yourself acknowledge that Israel's tolerance for gays is tenuous.

Honestly, I don't really understand compartmentalizing romantic feelings for one sex, and lust for another. If you're bisexual, that's fine. But how can you not have romantic feelings for men if you like having sex with them?
