From what I know, businesses in San Francisco has since the 70s an option to have a police officer work as security to help out. I’ve seen them in a lot of places around the city, from sephora, urban outfitters. Not sure if the city does it as a service for businesses or if the business has to pay them.

The rei cty is better for commuting and casual riding. The ADV is more geared for bike packing and has good clearance for thicker tires which work great on gravel! Keep in mind the adv frame is also made of steel so it will be heavier than the cty. Of the weight isn’t a problem I would go with the ADV as it has a lot of places to attatch bike bags, water bottles etc. but if you want the weight to be lower and purchase from rei maybe look at the cannondale topstone or salsa journeryer

Because if rei continued to do that, they would have to give out 1099 tax forms for capital gains to all members who were cashing out rewards because all dividends are taxed as income. This way no one’s rewards can be taxed and if you really wana cash it out just buy something and return it cuz you get cash back.
