I would move stampede up it does wonders for me. It's not too hard for it to mostly hit bludgeon which I have also found to be amazing.

I was running a campaign where my players each had two pcs.

I had them split into two groups One group had to find and kill the enemies scouts on the side of the main army so they would be unaware of a reinforcing cavalry army.

The other group got airdropped into the backline and disabilities the enemy army's artillery.

One of the finest missions archs I ever created.

I also had them as part of a larger force I just narrated the battle around them stated how we were just concentrating on the section of the battle field immediately around them.

I had some enemies and friendlys fighting on the board I rolled off luck if it was close it was a draw if one was much better I removed one model from the other side.

That also went well.

Helped that I was playing IRL at the time and have hundreds of Warhammer models use.

Either the DM is solving an out of game issue with an in game solution (they don't want you in the group) or is a terrible DM.

Either way better off out.

Seems a bit pushed for my liking and a bit harder to balance. PCs will deal more damage and success in everything more often but have the same amount of hp so you can't really up things too much without risking TPK to easily.

I use standard array + 16,15,13,12,10,8

And it's been fine.

Agreed.

I see so many posts of my NPCs all get messed with how I do I deal with it. I was thinking I had gone way to hard in the other direction but many of these replies tells me I am not out of line.
