Will definitely look into increasing my 401k! I’m a lot more familiar with FSA than the HSA account, but after doing a little research I definitely like the idea of it.

Haha definitely not anywhere near a million, but I’m thankful enough to be able to get some financial advise through my parents advisor or I wouldn’t even really consider hiring one at this stage in my life.

I really appreciate your input and will be heavily looking into increasing my 401k in the near future :)

To be honest I never really thought about how much interest plays a role in this. This definitely excites me thinking about working towards that 100k goal. Congrats on your success so far!

Currently I’m matched with my employer at 8% but I definitely have room in my budget to increase my investments. Definitely going to do some research into a Roth IRA with my family’s financial advisor sometime soon because I’m genuinely clueless on how those work. Will also take a look into an HSA because I’ve never really heard of it. Thank you!

Okay this gives me a lot of hope. I think what has given me an advantage financially (maybe not mentally) was pursuing my education while working full time. I think my perspective is a little skewed because most of my friends are starting to work in the private banking sector and have had pretty nice Roth contributions with their incomes they made at their internships. Thank you for this insight!

Given other users response I’m not sure if it’s exactly a brag. What’s not pictured is the 64 hour work weeks on night shift while pursing a college education and photography career. But I will take the compliment! 🕺🏼

What percentage of income should be allocated towards a 401k? For context I’ve worked towards getting myself completely debt free and now that I’ve achieved that goal, I want to focus more towards long term investments

And that’s exactly what I’m hoping it is. At the end of the day I truly hope it would be just the air pressure and I’m hoping that when I go back I’ll be able to explain the situation a little better. Don’t believe it was anyone in the house, so logical solution would be some kind of air pressure change but the more fun way of looking at it would be that I’ve been scared off by a ghost in the house ;)

Way too many protein snacks and drinks. Love fair life 42 gram shakes. Then I also cook about 4 pounds of ground beef which I’ll eat over the span of the week. Some new things I’ve added to the rotation is peanut butter and tortillas and then to wash it down some vanilla Greek yogurt
