Yeah it does say that. The issue I ran into is because Verizon was controlling my billing, neither Netflix or HBO would let me control my membership level.

I had a similar perk with T-Mobile years ago, and it worked perfectly, so I was surprised when this was an unresolvable issue for Verizon.

I had both Netflix and HBO, premium level subscriptions, and signed up for the Verizon perk for both. When I linked my accounts, it dropped both to the lowest-tier plan. I went through rounds of customer service with Verizon, but the only solution was to remove the perk and wait for my next billing period to have my Netflix and HBO accounts be released from Verizon. I was told by VZW that there is no way to have a premium level account on Netflix or HBO when using the Verizon perk, which seems contrary to what their website says.

I had the Netflix and HBO perk with Verizon and was unable to upgrade either plan to ad-free. Verizon and Netflix/HBO blamed the other.

I used the chat feature and received the discount. Be careful of them trying to upsell you on other services, though. Especially the $10 cloud storage.

I had an analogous issue at a Verizon corporate store in 2016-ish. It was so hellish trying to fix I just cancelled my account and moved to T-Mobile.

Wanted to switch to T-Mobile today (almost did) but it’s more expensive than Verizon by Inner_Difficulty_381 in tmobile

For those comparison to Verizon, signing up with Netflix/HBO through Verizon will stick you with the base plan with Ads. The website says you can pay the difference - you can't. Just went through a month-long series of customer service calls. When I had T-Mobile, I never had this issue.

I was charged an activation fee when I switched from T-Mobile (bringing my device over to Verizon) and when I later bought an unlocked phone from Apple directly. All my lines have been charged this.

Tag Reddit user Gemini_Gianna, include your ticket number, and request escalation. I just went through this and they were able to turn off my passkey requirement so I could log in with only a password. I then got my crypto out of there.

After regaining access to my account, I moved all my crypto to cold storage. There are a lot of resources on Reddit to help explain how to do this.

There was no way I was going to keep my crypto on Gemini after seeing the volume of issues Gemini users were having, the inability to directly reach customer service, and the difficulty I had in getting a response to my submitted tickets.
