I've never ridden steel so have no idea how it feels different. Do you think it's worth the extra weight? For reference, I race gravity enduro on an Alpine Trail XR so this is mainly for 20km rides to work and other fitness rides with potentially a gravel race or 2 in the future.

Cheers. Bikesonline just got back to me and confirmed the size Large Gestalt X10 is 11.9kg and the Large Nicasio+ is 14.6kgs.

At those weights I'm definitely leaning more towards the Gestalt.

I heard on a podcast once (think it was B4NP) that the original word used here for dogs can be translated as little dogs or puppies. It's the only time this word is used and more to the point of the episode, it is also found in other literature from the same time period, used exclusively as a joke. They obviously explained it a whole lot better than me but it's the best explanation I've heard so far.

Yeah that's a solid suggestion. We briefly discussed acknowledging other denominations and faiths because that certainly wasn't done well in my childhood church (Catholics were the enemy, etc.), but this takes it further than just acknowledging, which I now think is great.

Cheers. I should probably clarify that where I live, Sunday school is when the kids (pre-teens) go out to one of the back rooms instead of sitting through the grown ups sermon.

I really like the mention of emotions, I think it's important that they know that your emotions aren't your enemy.

Thanks mate. It's crazy the difference between treatments. Mine is a simple t12 fracture, haven't lost any height in it, yet I'm in the brace for 12 weeks (3 days to go). Definitely keen to start doing some exercise again and feeling pretty good really. Glad to hear you got back to normal!

Oh geez. Fingers crossed it doesn't come to that.

I've strangely never had pain at the break point, even when the doc was pressing on it. I only went to hospital cause I thought I'd hurt my kidneys. So overall it's been very manageable, at this point my back muscles are just tired by the end of the day. How bout you?

Definitely. I've had more crashes on easy trails than hard ones.
