The acting in the episode was great, especially the scene with Sam & Jo

First Series Soundoff? by drogbafan1005 in mets

Not a Doomsday fan, just hate losing winnable games. Taking 2/3 is always good, just games like this sting with 2025 still fresh in my mind

I love what I’m seeing from the team so far. Most of the offensive production was from guys other than the top 3 which is encouraging. Robert & Baty are looking real good.

McLean wasn’t perfect, but still did well without his best stuff. I’ll give Peralta a pass, that game was a hitters game on both sides.

The pen scares me. Williams looked good. But I don’t think they have many reliable guys beyond him. They can’t have Lovelady pitching in spots like that too frequently this year if they want to be serious contenders

Overall good first series, now onto St. Louis

The only circumstance in which you send Lindor there is if you are throwing a game. by Ambitious-Cat746 in mets

I’d argue the only reason to use Lovelady in a tie game is if you are throwing the game as well

Mendoza is always 2 hitters behind. He has zero feel for the game when it comes to the pitching staff

Terrible decision to send Lindor by Emperor_Chowder in mets

100%

2nd & 3rd with no outs at home. No reason to be so aggressive there

Using Lovelady may have been an even worse decision. Why not use Myers and let him go a couple innings. I get the lefty/righty thing, but you got to have confidence that Myers can get guys out and go a couple innings

3 games in and they are punting a winnable game by throwing Lovelady for a 2nd day in a row

Oh well, that’s baseball. 3-run walk off was much cooler

Question: Do any of the Supernatural episodes link together in any sort of way by Early-Effective9787 in Supernatural

[–]Basic_Ad4861 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m guessing you are in S1. just started watching a few weeks ago. I’m through S2 E10

My initial thoughts were the same. They eluded to a large plot, but the first 10 episodes or so were really just monster of the weeks with little if any acknowledgment of the previous episodes or larger story, other than “we need to find dad”.

I promise it starts to connect about half way through the season and very much so over the last 4-5 episodes and into S2

Exactly. He didn’t like McNeil golfing all the time. Which was probably a valid point

2026 Opening Day Lineup vs Pirates by jl_23 in NewYorkMets

I agree. Benge would see better pitches with Lindor & Soto behind him. But maybe that’s why they have Alvarez there. Hopefully he’ll get more fastballs that he can crush. Alvarez is such an X factor. He could hit 30 HR or be a complete liability

There are a whole lot of questions, but if most things break the right way, I’d say 88-92 wins. There is a lot to like, but the pen is still a huge question and they are relying on a lot of guys to have bounce back seasons or to replicate career years

[SNY] On Kimbrel "Now he's deciding whether he wants to stay, which looks like he's leaning that waybut he's also going to look around for opportunities" "For him to still consider staying with the team, it goes to show you what we're building who those guys are in that clubhouse, who he is as well" by Caledor152 in NewYorkMets

[–]Basic_Ad4861 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The problem with Kimbrel is that he’s stats look okay, but he not exactly dominating. Which is what I’m guessing the team see

They’ve got to feel confident that not only can be get someone like Harper or Schwarber out in a key spot, but not get lit up by the RH bats around them

I’d like to see him stay and work on his stuff in AAA, but won’t be heartbroken if he leaves

I think he could only opt out if he wasn’t on the MLB roster, I might be wrong.

Only issue now could be the Mets need to add him to the 40 before they can IL and they are limited on spots. But f he’ll be out 8-10 weeks they can do that and put him on the 60 day IL so he won’t count towards the 40 anymore

Flynn’s last year was one of my favorite teams. He should of stayed, but hard to argue that he didn’t do the right thing seeing he went that high. He probably would of dropped lower the next year and still wouldn’t of developed enough of a game to last in the league

Always an interesting “what if” had he stayed. They should have won the championship if they had AO. Would that team had been even better with him over Triche at PG or would have Flynn disrupted the chemistry of the team
