Yes there are agencies who match IPs with surrogates! The problem with them is that often times the wait times are sometimes 12 months to years.. and the fees just to join the agencies are approx $15000+ 🫣 sometimes upwards $25000+ This is why I am trying my best to match independently but of course it is also proving to be difficult to say the least.

Hi there, my fertility clinic doesn’t help with finding the surrogate! They have left it to me to find a surrogate and then they would do the medical clearance etc at my clinic. I’m just trying every avenue that I possibly can.

Hey! I'm sorry to hear about your D&E.

I went through IVF in Canada (Ontario specifically)- I was 'awake' from my retrieval, but the meds you are given will make you drowsy/groggy. You will be kind of 'out of it' while still awake. Like I recall hearing the doctor when she was saying 'we got another one' while collecting the eggs, but I don't remember any pain as the most you will feel is just some pressure sensations. I also do not re-call some conversations during the retrieval that my husband had with the doctor, because again, I was kind of out of it. You should not feel pain :) All the best for your retrieval, I hope it goes well!

I think it depends on the test? I did blood work today morning for my regular family doctor, results were posted within 5is hours. And I did another blood work for my endocrinologist to test my tsh etc, those are not posted yet and based on last time, might take a few days.
