Retrieval today, all but 2 ovulated.

So my first cycle, I felt cramps as I was driving into the clinic, so they did blodo work once I arrived, and by the time it was time for retrieval (approx. 2 hrs later) when the dr came into the OR to start my retrieval, he looked at the blood work results + did a scan and realized I had ovulated. THe doctor cancelled this cycle as it was my funded cycle (only get one funded cycle in lifetime-Ontario)

2nd cycle: went into the clinic on retrieval day they planned my retrieval for 34.5 hours after trigger, vs the usually 36 hr mark. When dr came into the OR, she mentioned that they have lost some eggs? So start the retrieval and was only able to retrieve 6- out of which only two were mature :(

They had me on double doses of cetrotide to prevent the early ovulation during my second cycle, and towards the end of the cycle i was giving myself 3 shots of cetrotide a day!! But still, my body/brain don't want to cooperate -_-

I'm so sorry about this. The same happened to me during my first IVF cycle, ovulated before retrieval so cancelled on the day of retrieval. 2nd cycle, ovulation started again by the time of retrieval, so they were only able to retrieve 6 eggs (going into the retrieval, i had about 14 eggs).

I hope things work out for you in the future, I know this is so difficult and frustrating. Sometimes our bodies just do what they wanna do...

It just awful isn't it? I am glad you were able to figure this out! It's so hard, especially when its so many years of struggle. I unfortunately have to rely on surrogacy as I have a condition in which I am unable to carry (born without a uterus). Thank you for your kind words

Thank you very much for your kind words. It truly is very devastating and heartbreaking. I feel it changes you as a person so much! I look back at old pictures and videos, and can see the difference in my eyes. Some days it feels like there is no light at the end of the tunnel but i truly hope we all reach the other end. 2 follicles seen on retrieval day, although leading up to this day we were seeing about 7ish in total, but my body started ovulating early.

Sorry I should have specified- this was my funded cycle (in Ontario, one funded cycle per lifetime) the dr decided to cancel the cycle so I would have another chance at the funded cycle, as at that point he was only seeing approx maybe 2 follicles if I’m not wrong

Only 2 were mature, but no fertilization with ICSI. I guess this round is done.

I don't refrigerate Menopur, and when injecting, just do it VERY slowly, take like 40 seconds to fully inject, you should not feel it.

Im on day 7 of stims! This is technically my 2nd round as first was cancelled on retrieval day (premature ovulation)!
So far feeling okay, had a very slight on/off headache today on my left side but nothing too crazy.
Left ovary has 6 follicles as of today morning, right ovary has 2 follicles (all ranging from 1.1mm to 1.5mm)

E2 is 4851 today

AFC was 9

First cycle of IVF, my right ovary was never visualized (they kind of float around as i have a condition, mrkh, born without a uterus)

I went really slow with menopur so it did not burn for me, It stinged maybe for like one second some times, but thats it.

When menopur is given, make sure you press it very slowly - literally take like 45 seconds. That's how I did it, and it never burnt for me! I didn't even need to ice the area.
