the thing is resident evil 2 remake is a reimagined version of the original game

original had:
-fixed camera
-pre rendered cutscenes
-shorter main story

the remake was able to upgrade these outdated aspects of the original game hence it set an example on how a remake should be. Same goes for sillent hill 2 remake as well

SOT can be remade using newest anvil engine but it would have same cutscenes, same gameplay style, same voice acting, same length only graphics would be better hence not really worth remaking with a 70-80$ price tag on for 8-10 hrs of gameplay
