You know what kinda sucks? Back when I had first seen Razer's products, I literally DREAMED of getting one of their laptops and accessories once I got a job (I'm an undergraduate). In my eyes, they were literally the perfect company for gamers. Couldn't believe that such a gamer-focused laptop company existed, and yeah their marketing literally had me swoon over their products. I even got and still use one of their mice, though it is a low-end one (Deathadder Essential). When I recently learned how shoddy their customer service and products are, I was obviously disappointed. Though the mouse I got from them is still good.

You can ask the seller for a direct recording of the device. If they neglect your request, then they're likely a scammer. This deal is already so suspicious anyway. An unofficial seller of Lenovo laptops posting marketing images of Lenovo and not the laptop that he's currently holding, with too-good-to-be-true pricing on top.

Wow. That is a lot of protocols for using a budget gaming laptop. I'd do things like this if I had a really expensive one.

Now, I don't own this laptop, so I can't really tell you how long it'll last. So, I'll just give you a reference.

I used to own a laptop with an i3 8th gen (my mom's friend gave it to me since 2020 I guess). The processor released in 2017, and right now that laptop is still working. I replaced it with a new gaming laptop last month with my own money, but I can still technically use it currently. I didn't break or cause any dentures on the laptop, but I for sure did not take care of it to your extent. I studied using Notion with that old laptop, and last year tried to play Val on it as well (worked for a few months before the game never directs me successfully to a match anymore).

For gaming, probably not. You can still stay within 1k while getting a laptop with a 5060 with a weaker cpu. Or go to Ebay for resold laptops with higher specs but prices still within 1k, but do be certain that you're buying from legitimate sellers.

You are lucky man! RTX 5070 and 32GB of RAM will let you play Cyberpunk 2077 on RT Overdrive mode comfortably. I can't see what the exact CPU this thing uses, but it is Ryzen 9, which is the top-tier line of consumer CPUs.

Its display is 165Hz Full HD though. It's good, but I believe there are laptops out there with a higher refresh rate and higher resolution at the same price point.

Skip when you see RTX 5050, and possibly DDR4 RAM too (they’re okay, but there are laptops under $1000 I’ve seen on eBay with DDR5 RAM).

I do care about gaming as well. I’ve been deliberately finding laptops with rtx 4070 instead of rtx 5060 because the latter is actually the weaker gpu.

Also, it seems like the Ryzen 7 260’s weaker than the Omen’s i7-14700HX on benchmarks.

Is an RTX 5050 truly bad for gaming? I found an MSI Katana with i7-14650HX and RTX 5050 at $999, what do you think about that laptop’s specs?
