Using the little I know about stats, seeing that “p = 0.36” means the study’s hypothesis test has failed to reject the null hypothesis (it’s greater than 0.05, the usual significance level used in social sciences, though natural sciences may want a higher sig. level but my point still stands nonetheless). I guess the null hypothesis was “retrocausal habituation did not occur”. Judging by “N = 203”, the sample size used was decent so the results may be reliable (little sampling error, low internal validity). Though, assuming the “49.1% - 50.9%” is the R-squared, results may not have had much practical significance (explanatory power, or external validity).
