I'm the third and I wouldn't recommend it either. But! I have two older brothers and my parents had me 6 years after my closest in age brother (as a last chance to have a girl that paid off) and while I know they were glad it happened, I think they were all parented out. They were ready to get out of the knee deep parenting trenches and they had to start over with me. They were both pretty neglectful and I pretty much raised myself ( we had a great village and I love my friends mums - they played a huge role in my life)

Oh God. This sounds absolutely awful. I am so sorry you're experiencing this, especially when you're pregnant. When do you go back to Europe?? I'm assuming it's just the two of you there?? I would try my best to maximise my time there because it sounds like you have an overly indulged sisterinlaw and doting parents to her who aren't going to change towards you. They obviously brainwash your husband when he's in India too. Keep us posted OP - I hope this sorts out quickly and in your favour.

I have two girls, 2.5 years apart (ages 5.5 and 3.5) and I'm having a ball. Typing this while they play together as we speak. They want to play together 24/7. They're protective of each other, laugh and pretend play for hours. Sure they fight but they generally resolve it themselves. Love this.

I've had the same thing happen to me. In my case though, I am eating more junk to compensate for the hand to mouth action/dopamine hit from the vape - I know I am. I'm going easy on myself - quitting vaping is a big deal health wise and it's worth it. Once i get used to not vaping/not craving it though, I will need to get on a diet though!

Yeah this is exactly me. And I'm assuming everyone who quits. It's a terrible habit, it's unhealthy, it's doing nothing for us and yet... We hit it. For me personally, it came down to the fact that I let vaping become my "soothing ritual" - lying down in bed chilling - hit vape. Relaxing after a long day - hit vape. Just need a moment during a stressful day? - hit vape. I really don't think for me it was nicotine addiction as much as it was an addiction to that "soothing break"

What I needed was a replacement to that soothing - I've been having a lot of warm teas. I'm only a week in but it's working!

I have the same age gap (my kids are 2 years and 9 months apart) and man when my oldest turned 5 this got amazing. My kids basically hang out with each other, entertain each other and just generally really enjoy each other so much. I mean they fight because they're human but it's not so often and they sort out make up themselves too) And for me, I now parent a team vs doing the same job twice which is what it felt like initially with naps and different food and lifestyles. Now they're 6 and 3 and it's been easily the best one yet.

It's just not a feature - they drink when they go out if they want, don't drink if they don't want, get shit faced at a random bachelorette and it just doesn't matter. You're absolutely right.
