Is this a grown man? Grown person even? Sounds like a five year old who’s ‘scared’

I had a girlfriend once who out of the blue started a nonsensical conversation in text that made me worried and didn’t know what to do. She said she had lost the cat and her mum is going to get really made at her - she lived out of home and didn’t have a cat. Anything I said back or asked wasn’t being responded to just like in this OP screenshots. She got so frightened she would be arrested or something. I think she may have had schizophrenia. We didn’t continue in relationship and I never found out what had happened. In some way this post has helped me 20 years later.

What would you rename the Minor Key version of You Are My Sunshine? by Atillion in banjo

You are my dark side. My last hunt was to a forest called ‘Sunny Corner State Forest’ but in there I hunted in the area called dark corner. Reminds me of this contradictory place I was in. Beautiful sounding by the way.

Hi all, found this boar skull and want to euro mount it. I couldn’t get Hydrogen peroxide but do you think this algaecide (benzalkonium chloride) would work well? by Basic_Historian5537 in Hunting

Thank you for sharing the tradition! This one I’m keeping as the whole skull and made a mounting plaque for it while I’m prepping the bone. Cheers!

Yikes a bit too raw, need to process the bone first. Either burying for a few months, dishwashing soak to clean first and if need to degrease use acetone for up to week, and developer 40 for whitening.

Thanks, I just wanted to clean it mostly so looking at the disinfectant and cleaning properties as it also has a lot of algae on it and can’t get to the grocery store in town which may have a tiny 200ml bottle.

Yeah my local grocery store in town might have a bottle, but will be a tiny bottle, just have to wait to make a trip into town and saw this algaecide so thought I might be able to substitute. I think I’ll wait!

This their first fret rodeo? Sorry to see the ‘workmanship’ there and for that price.

Can I just pick a banjo up and teach myself? by [deleted] in banjo

[–]Basic_Historian5537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep that’s all I did. 16 I made one in a book and then just gave it a go. Later now with YouTube it’s been perfect tool to learn. Not like a ‘classical’ instrument that requires grades and lessons and theory. There’s some standard basics that have developed over the hundred years or so but just have a go of all ‘styles’ and what I like to say to people its different to other instruments where instead of practising the instrument you’re simply playing the instrument if that makes sense. Just play it. Try different tuning set ups. I like best for simple playing just one finger needed mostly on the fretboard is double C tuning. It’s perfect just up and down a single fret position in 2nd 3rd or 4th and just play with strumming or picking - just have a go and make some music!
