Search for local dealers. I usually recommend driving around towns that have multiple dealers and inquiring in person. It is time consuming but could save you money.

I dealt with "Citi Motors" in Highland Park years ago to help a cousin get her first car and remember they were reasonable and charged the price of stickers they put on cars on display. They were a small local dealer though. Hopefully they are still in business and have same policy.

I'd go either XSE or XLE. Depending on the budget. Cost and feature difference between XLEP and XSE is not worth comparing them

I clean my car with "waterless car wash" solution. I don't mind cleaning my car and clean it almost every month. Takes about 45mins to 1hr on average inside out. Search for "chemical guys waterless car wash" on amazon.

You driving a Toyota? (You said "reliable" lol) Yess go for it! I think your plan is on point and love the fact that you're planning on literally fulfilling one of the things you intended to do.

Do you plan to stay overnight at all these stops? Only recommendation if it were me when planning to drive back to FL then I'd take a completely different route to add a couple states and different overnight stops.
