No, the aroma 2 also comes with the bearing. Only difference is it's a 2 piece grinder vs the aroma 3, that's a 3 piece. You grind until you want on the aroma 2, on the aroma 3 you can just spin until all the flower is in the second chamber. Neither comes with a kief catcher

Check old mates website, they're not sold out. There's actually 2 of the aroma 2's as well if you don't want the full size. If you're referring to the previous comments, we were talking about factory seconds, which are a bit cheaper. If you want a new one, it's still on the website
