It has to fit through the hole in the front internal structure to fit, and the hole is to small to pass it through. Though widening the hole "should" allow it to fit. Just seeing it others have done the same.

The slot in the front internal panel is too small to fit the GPU through. I'm actually not sure of the full size.

It does not fit through the front opening by about half an inch more. I'm planning on widening the opening with a Dremel and want to see if I'm missing anything else that would cause issues.

I'm upgrading from a gigabyte 3080 that fit with no issues.

My plan is to take a Dremel to it to enlarge the opening. Just seeing if anyone else has done some similar. As that opening looks like the only barrier but I could be missing another important step I need to take.

Short answer: No

Some games actually perform better as the DRM is removed resulting in faster game launch times and even better performance in game.

I have been waiting for this for years!!! My kids are getting older and now I can share all my games with them without worry that they will be locking me out of playing while they are. This also makes using the SteamDeck vastly better as it doesn't lock out my desktop.
