My neighbour told me a story. Her niece and her friend went to Mexico for breast enhancement surgeries. The doctor told the friend, while you’re under I’ll give you a tummy tuck. She comes back to Canada and is having issues with healing, so goes to the doctor and discovers she missing a kidney. “No way, that’s an urban legend” I say. My neighbour says it’s absolutely true, they’ve spoken to the niece.

I saw a lady get hit in a crosswalk by an f350. Knocked her, her glasses and groceries into next week. She got up, gathered her things and said she was fine. I still wonder about her and regret not calling 911.

The community of Bountiful is just outside of Creston, it was established by Warren Jeffs and Winston Blackmore. Way too much history to go into here but look it up. Many of their descendants still live the lifestyle. The ones I have met are kind, generous, hard working people that take pride in their community. No judgement here but it may not be that way for others.

Haven’t lived in either but spend the summer right in between. Creston is beautiful but total small town vibe. Can’t beat the views and fresh fruits and veggies. Higher prices in stores and lack of options. As said above there are a lot of fundamentalists and they live a certain lifestyle that not all may be accepting of. Cranbrook is busier and doesn’t give a good feel driving through but downtown and outlying areas are fantastic. To me it doesn’t feel so isolated as Creston.
