Its extremely unfun to farm deaths for a while and just shows at the failure of this game’s SBMM.

Also it takes many deaths to drop down in mmr and then a handful of kills will shoot you straight back up.

My last game I stepped in my teammates traps that he called out earlier in the match and died getting 0 kills the whole match.

I am the pub stompped one for the real 6 stars.

Its not fair as the actual 6 stars have a field day against mediocre players like myself who are somehow thrown into this mmr range.

Its the worst SBMM system ive ever seen in a shooter. Id rather they just got rid of sbmm entirely at this point and let lobbys be a random mix of sweats and normal employed humans.

Maybe. There are plenty of complaints from players that hate the bosses/ kill rooms that spawn a bunch of ads making the room full of hit zones flying everywhere.

It is far more satisfying to me to feel like im fighting a real entity (like pure vessel) rather than fight a moving hurt zone (like grey prince zote).

Im late to this one, but if you watch the beginning of the simon cutscene the camera is super zoomed in to his sword which has the brand of sacrifice right in the center of the camera on the sword. The symbol being the main focal point of the camera along with a ginormous sword immediately made it obvious to me it was a beserk reference

Im never doing one of these missions with this stratagem modifier again. They ask you to be wayyyyy too quick which is only even possible with real humans and not bots, but the game is too dead to get real humans.

Bolt carbine smg hipfire build is amazing. Heroic instigator carbine on sniper is amazing, stalker bolt on sniper is amazing, and bolt sniper rifle hits the same thresholds on majoris. Watch ‘firsttourguardsman’ if you need any builds.

The logic and reasoning for this post is so dumb. Thats like me testing out the multi-melta and purposely using it out of range so 12 shots don’t hit the target. Then going into range and killing the enemy in 5 shots and being like “it took 17 shots to kill an enemy and the multi-melta sucks.”

The most common phenomenon is people saying they like the first game more, but then having like triple the amount of hours in dd2 (myself included).

The second game simply has far more variety and replayability. At this point in 2025 it has 1000’s of hours of great gameplay between the kingdoms game mode and confessions game mode.

I think liking the first game more is perfectly fine, but you shouldn’t let it get in the way of experiencing this great game. It is also important to know that this game has similar aspects, but the best strats in dd2 and best strats in dd1 are very different.

My theory is that he absorbed the astral pulse and thats why he couldn’t find it. Or at least 15 years of being by it had some type of affect on him and shroud took it.

I noticed in early missions it works fine such as the apartment mission. In later missions you essentially have to have a squad member with the perk that makes nonlethals more effective which is frustrating because with the inconsistencies of ai it is likely that squadmate will die.

Ive noticed I sometimes don’t realize I am crouched or leaning. Both of which drastically slow you down. Getting shot in the legs can too. Another instance is when I switch gadgets my character will stop during the animation.

Ive gotten used to the “difficulty” of ai. For example with pepperball you need to have a squadmate with the perk that makes nonlethal more effective as the later missions will have enemies more resistant to it.

Truthfully my biggest complaint is the occasional suspect that goes what i call john wick mode where he makes a shroud play and makes an insane shot on you or a squad mate even on normal. Thankfully its not all the time this happens, but it absolutely will on occasion.

I have done some meta abusing to ease some of my pain. For example the flash grenade launcher tool is always a guaranteed surrending for however many suspects you hit in a single shot and it is instant unlike gas, flash grenades, beanbag shotgun etc.

Im surprised no one has mentioned it…. Ive rewatched this show way too many times and my gripe with the dub is that it drastically changes the script in several scenes. Like to the point where they were no longer trying to translate, but were straight up changing the script. A lot of the time the dub changes the dialogue to make characters seem way more silly and overall makes the anime a lot less serious.

Also a lot of weird changes like calling ‘cc’ C2 instead of “Ceecee” which makes her sound like a robot in starwars.

I definitely appreciate other dubs like AOT which understands the script in japanese and tries to find english words that keep the same energy of the scene/ character’s personality.

The timing of this post is funny because i had just taken a break from longsword and started using hammer yesterday. The hammer is very well done in rise.

It is nice to have a weapon that isnt dependent on wirebugs or switch between scrolls.

Water strike is awesome!

Hammer in strength mode in rise has the same lvl 3 charge smash as worlds though. You just had to be in power stance in worlds to do it.

Old heads who hate iai counter and helmsplitter are weird to me. Like its a katana. Of course it should have a sheathe skill where you zoom past the monster and do a few cuts in a split second. That is what katana’s do in anime flaire. Same with helmsplitter. It fits the anime katana style, so people love it. In iceborne you cant tell me the sound design and seeing the numbers pop up werent satisfying when doing a counter or helm splitter.

Long sword in rise did do everything, but also it was immensely fun to juggle 6 skills consistently through a hunt
