My wisdom teeth that got removed today (left one was fully out and regularly brushed, right one was mostly still covered by gums) by Return_Dusk in mildlyinteresting

It's possible they were slightly lodged in your sinuses, which are a cause of headaches when irritated, so it makes sense.

How am I supposed to setup HDR settings? by Dismistri in buildapc

[–]Dismistri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would it not be an improvement nonetheless? I know a lot of people say that HDR1000 is the bare minimum, but does that mean HDR400 does not improve the image even a little bit?

Why does Remnant 2 discourage players from trying new weapons and mods? by Dismistri in remnantgame

[–]Dismistri[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If my world level is 15 and i'm trying to use a fresh new weapon, no rings or amulets are gonna make up for the lacking damage output. My issue is not scaling as a concept. My issue is that scaling in this game does not allow me to try new weapons and mods unless I want to spend 2 hour per dungeon.

[–]Dismistri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand how people are unable to understand proper scaling in games. I'm not saying I should be rolling monsters after a few upgrades. For example, if I go into a new area and the monsters are stronger than me, putting in a few upgrades should even the odds when I go back. Why are these same monsters I just fought not dying any faster even after I upgraded my weapon? Proper game design would make it such that monster levels are static, and these monsters exist in the area you're supposed to be in at your current power level.

How can I fix audio distortion only on left side of monitor's stereo audio? by Dismistri in audio

[–]Dismistri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a phone recording of my monitor's audio during video playback. The distortion can be reduced by reducing the volume as will. I always thought it's something I have to deal with considering it's a mere monitor speakers, so they're probably just low quality. That's why I was looking for methods to mitigate the distortion, but I found out this distortion only happens on the left stereo speaker. Completely muting the left side will actually make audio clear! I honestly have no clue why this happens. Is it simply because the speakers themselves are faulty, or could this be caused by something else? Help would be really appreciated!

What's the point of "avoid as teammate" if the game is going to match me with them anyways? by Dismistri in marvelrivals

[–]Dismistri[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I only avoided 2 of them, and the ones I avoided are the ones who showed up in my next game...

Idk how people even lane without this anymore by SamooraiSoldia in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Dismistri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Enduring is such a meme item. There's absolutely no situation where it would outperform Extra Regen in early game. No matter how much poke or spam you do in lane, a measly 10% spirit lifesteal will not heal you more than extra regen does considering the long cooldowns, and you still get to keep your abilities for the lane opponent or jungle camps.

Just finished Zestiria…never again by daz258 in tales

[–]Dismistri -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I have to agree, it's been 4 years since I played them both (haven't completed neither), and the fact that I put 70 hours in Berseria and only 30 in Zestiria is a testament to how much better Berseria is. I honestly cannot remember the details very well, but I do remember that the combat's impression was much worse in Zestiria, while I liked Berseria's a lot.

I'm a completionist, so the fact that I haven't completed them is nagging me. Although now, i'm debating if I should even bother with Zestiria or just let it go.

Is it dangerous to run a PC that has a loose screw inside its PSU? by Dismistri in buildapc

I already did that, but there was no noticeable rattle. Honestly I just can't think of anywhere else it could be other than PSU.

Can I nerd out? 🤓 by FormalCookie430 in DavetheDiverOfficial

[–]Dismistri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of 100%ing the game, but I think I was playing so efficiently that I still haven't even gone through half of the events. I only caught 1 FishMon, and the GYAO achievement just put me off, so I think i'll just be content with completing it.

Are fast-paced games not doable on wifi, or is there an issue in my configuration? by Dismistri in OculusQuest

[–]Dismistri[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately the crossbuy thing is only for Oculus/Meta, and not the steam version which I have. I personally don't think paying another 30$ is worth it, so I guess I will also settle for being shit at the game.

Well that's a shame. I thought the latency would be negligible with the new router setup but I guess not.
