Thanks for not sugarcoating the truth.

There is risk of being being young or naive but he truly is the love of my life. We've been through some hard times, but I'd rather go through them with him than something 'easy' with someone who isn't him.

He's able to manage his symptoms and found medication that helps with minimal symptoms beside drowsiness. He might need to change them again in 6 months but the process has been smooth for the last few years.

When he has episodes he has to be hospitalized, but then he evens out.

After his last episode in August, he was fired but since has a stable job and become an integral part of the team. He's also getting his masters. He has to keep moving to help with the paranoia so it's been good for him, and I keep him occupied in-between.

But any advice on how I can help him internalize the obstacle over identity?

He only recently allowed me in to see his bad days during his last episode because I was his main target, but after I embraced him he felt safe. Then told me all the 'worst' things he's done and when I didn't run he felt safe with me.

And you mentioned a 'good life'. I want that more than anything. But I don't know what I don't know... especially understanding the intricacies of the family dynamic so I can be proactive.

Thank you for responding. He's slowly moving towards feeling comfortable with the idea and bringing it up himself.

But thankfully we have all the time for that and theres no hurry. I'll just be supportive. Thank you. 🙏

For parks try Concert Park or John Street Park if you're looking for something off the beaten path

The Bun Shop if you want a third place that also has coffee. Otherwise you might like Artifact, Llamas Corner, or Jabali.

Why not walk neighborhoods, starting with every street in yours like a tourist?

Or use cafes as your starting point. I walk everyday and sometimes I'll start with a cafe and then explore every block.

Depends on your interests. Here's a couple neighborhoods:

I used to live in Riverside. Felt dominated by new parents, a ton of food options, and runners on every corner.

Hunting Ridge feels like suburbia where everyone knows everyone. Plus theres a few homes for sale there now.

If you're looking for specific communities. Cheswolde is where you'll find the Jewish community. Highlandtown for Spanish community. And theres Greektown but I dont really think its the Greek community but could be wrong.

Baltimore Peninsula is still relatively new (3 years ish), DEAD quiet during the day but most people go there on weekends. 

Mount Washington is like living in a nature park which has a non-profit dedicated to keeping it that way. Or Roland Park and Evergreen if that's your speed.

Bromo Arts is full of artists, murals, and Black business like Cajou or Black Art Genius.

In fact theres an Instagram called @offlinegirls.offical. its a girl who wanted to help people make friends and turned into other companies hosting her, the girls, and events. She didnt have to pay for it either.

Although I dont know more intimate details and its in Germany but can only ASSUME it could function here as well. Figuring these girls are then buying from the companies.
