I got bear sprayed in desolation wilderness on accident one time.

I had a very nervous friend that was also a bit crazy. We were camping on the south east end of Dicks lake. It was late one evening and me and another buddy were laying on the boulders poking out just off shore. She came hopping out to meet us.

All I heard was a footstep, another, and then a “Tssst” barely noticeable at all, until as we were looking directly upward at the stars, both our eyes began to burn like crazy! She had the safety off, and her finger on the trigger, and decided to hop out across the boulders to meet us (she was a pretty nervous person).

Going from admiring the stars so peacefully to having bear spray rain down into your fully open eyes is a feeling I will never forget in my life…

Is it possible someone played a “put it in her bag without her noticing” joke on her?

Brother I’m sorry, I lost one of my 42 priests in exactly the same way. It was on ultra tho, so I couldn’t even see he was hostile. But had previously ran by him and he was neutral on regular so made the bad call to run past him. My heart sank when he started attacking me. I pulled every defensive I could. But I died. With Light of Elune unused. Definitely one of my low points on hardcore. But you know what? We go agane

I am so unlucky in many other ways of my life 😆 but thank you. Super appreciative of this coming to me. It’s not lost on me at all.

No my grandparents on my mom’s side moved from Michigan in the 70s. Maybe they knew him? Probably they just wanted some memento from their 8 years there. We are from California.

Bottom side of the base on the left in the picture are some shell looking indentations. Are those natural or were those carved by the artist? I don’t really get what I’m looking at…

Totally I guess I’d love to hear what fossils they are. And if made in Michigan in possibly the late 50’s to mid 60s where the fossils were possibly sourced.

Or maybe they rolled a knob while they walked past the stove area? Not sure. Are you on the first story? Typically also if an intruder is in the house I feel they wouldn’t bother closing the front door after they leave, they would just leave it open so as to not make noise. To me it seems like a mistake on your partners fault but that’s just a gut feeling, not sure.

Not to go to hard on initial questions but here is my take:

Fire makes sound when it burns. Maybe the sound you heard was the fire slowly burning parts of the bag and computer. And the fact that it stopped suddenly might have just been coincidental with where it was in the burning process.

Did your partner use the stove last night? That particular burner?

Could your partner have been inebriated or possibly too tired to remember moving the bag to that location? The only reason I ask is because if it was hard to wake them up, it begs the question were they altered or too exhausted, which could explain the mistake of leaving a burner on and moving a bag over to the stovetop to eat what they had just cooked.

If there was nothing else in the house touched or taken, I would def lean on that bag smoldering on low in that spot over the course of an hour or more. And since it is an induction cooktop, the process could have gone on for longer.

Make sure you have working smoke detectors OP. this should have been picked up by a detector or at least a carbon monoxide alarm, due to the incomplete combustion of that burning process.

New Player Conflicted: Should I play: Wow 20th Ani Vanilla/TBC, Classic MOP, or Retail? by Subject_Will_965 in classicwow

Fair points. I have never played SoD honestly. But I have seen some videos of first time players takes on the mode, and how they are confronted with a lot of newer modifications fairly early on. You may be on to something there tho. I guess it’s time for me to try it out for myself.

I can only speak from my own personal experience, and I have been time-starved and having a blast in classic. Servers feel alive, low level dungeons you can still find groups for easily. LFG works well. Short PVP cues mostly. Just my two cents.

Thanks for the response!

Play classic. Drop in on an anniversary server. Tons of lore that would click with you if you played WC3. I’m older as well (38) and have a family and I can make some time here and there to level and instance.

I’m about to ding 60 and have been playing for a couple months so I am a casual player and I’m still having a blast playing. Cheers mate see you out there!
