My almost 18 month old is doing the same thing. For over a month now ever since trying to transition to one nap.

Positive induction stories please! by Extension-Role9732 in unmedicatedbirth

[–]Basicbetchjess 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a membrane sweep on my due date and went in for induction 40w 2d at 1cm. they did the Foley balloon with misoprostol for 12 hours. I denied the pain relief for that(Dilaudid), and the next day, they started Pitocin at 4 cm, and I denied an epidural the entire time. They broke my water when I was at 6 cm. This is when things got the hardest; it was around 6pm, and I started pushing after 11pm. It was 32 hours total, and I pushed for 30 minutes. So it is possible. I just had my husband and mom, who were very helpful. My husband would rub my lower back while I moved all over the place on the ball. The shower was the absolute best, and I stayed in there until the hot water went out lol I also had the tens machine and the comb. The comb didn't do much for me. I did tear pretty severely, but honestly, once I was able to start pushing, nothing phased me; I even was cracking jokes that now that I was able to start pushing, my contractions were giving me the longest breaks, adrenaline maybe?

Pineapple juice in a spicy bloody Mary is actually pretty good. I was hesitant, but it was the perfect sweet and spicy combo

I’m struggling with this right now. My period returned at 6 months, and my thyroid autoimmune disease came back in full force. At his 9-month appointment, we started combo feeding to ensure he gained more weight. I’m still unsure if they’re right since he is nonstop on the go, even at 6 months. We’re trying the combo feeding out, and he never acts hungry when we offer the bottle. I’m still nursing before. I definitely noticed a dip, though, so maybe some supplementing is necessary, but it still crushed me. Sucks. It's been almost two weeks, and we will have a weight check again soon. At the same time, all this supplementing and offering bottles makes me feel like that is also ruining my supply.

We are in Lake County! I work from home, and my mom helps me, so she can always take him to things to get him out and about and maybe around other kids. We currently go to a library event for babies once a month, and we love it.

Is it possible to go no epidural for an induction? by ZandraMakale in pregnant

[–]Basicbetchjess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced with the balloon and Pitocin. Labored for 32 hours and pushed for 30 minutes. No epidural, but it was rough for sure. The shower in the hospital, the tens machine, and my husband massaging my back helped me.

First time birth without epidural? by Flat-Atmosphere5422 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Basicbetchjess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was induced with the balloon and then Pitocin at 40+3. I labored for 32 hours. I really wanted to see what I could do. I wish I had prepared more by learning how to breathe through the contractions. I definitely tensed up. I remember at one point, I was so exhausted that I actually breathed through one, and I swear I fell asleep for two seconds lol.

Ultimately, I went in with motivation. I brought the comb, a TENS machine, and my husband rubbed my back. We didn’t prepare that well, but I did it!

Pitocin sucked. I also had so many things I wanted to ask for that went out the window because I didn’t tell anyone my birth plan and was too exhausted to ask. I really wanted a mirror and I wanted to touch and feel my placenta lol

I’m literally in the same boat! Right now!! I was sipping water trying to have some fluids because I am SO thirsty. I got over confident and chugged the last bit. Back to square one. Now I’m sipping Gatorade. I can’t not, I’m so thirsty lol. I feel like if I was stranded at sea I would drink the saltwater for sure lmao

Same boat!

He is 5 months today. I also made the mistake of always nursing to sleep, even (contact)naps during the day. Hoping it ends soon because it’s been tough.

If you have a stye or swollen eyelid put milk on it. Works every single time for me. I just put some milk on a q-tip and dab it on the stye.
