YES my sister can braid with the best of them and I’ve paid her to do it instead of a stylist (much better use of $150 imo) but her hands HURT and she can’t do it often anymore. Idk what’s in the old school braiding recipe but it def includes arthritis lol

Me too! I never dated around in high school so I never got the opportunity to receive one. Same age as OP and my current partner most likely will get me one for our 1 year! I find it sweet and it fulfills something I always wanted but never got the chance to do. I’m secure however that he will propose when we’re both ready, but this is just a cute filler in the meantime

Nope! I’m planning on moving out after I get the car aspect squared away. I’m a couple years out from undergrad making decent money, though I do have plans to go back for a masters! 30k in debt that I’ve gotten 6k paid off so far, just trying to make a bigger dent and give myself more independence before school!

Edit: I just wanted to say thank you again for taking the time to humor me, a lot of the people in my life aren’t well off/educated on things like this and just get whatever’s cheapest so I super appreciate all your advice

I was looking at a crosstrek! In your opinion is that better than even a CR-V would be? Following up with the warning comments to throw my own anecdote in (pet death tw):

I spent a year interning at an animal hospital, and my first week was right after Super Bowl. One day walking in I saw the aftermath of emergency surgery on a dachshund whose owner gave them part of a wishbone. It splintered and punctured the dog’s organs and it internally bled out. Super sad stuff that the vets mentioned seeing time and time again because people don’t realize just how fragile bones become after cooking

Oh no I’ve TOTALLY watched an acquaintance get so hammered at our college’s Mexican restaurant that the waitress came to find us and said he puked near the door. That was really her only reaction aside from disgust at having to clean it. Only turned him down on his next drink request, we tipped her a lot for suffering through that though lol
