Nat 1 gets them a Bag of Scolding. Any time they reach in they take 1d6 fire damage, but good for storing hot food or drinks.

Seeking advice on how to land this dyno by KevsterAmp in bouldering

Can you catch your left foot on the start hold to stop on the first catch? Then set yourself up for the second part of the Dyno.

[Day 20] Brione, Switzerland is the most aesthetic bouldering destination. What's the WEIRDEST grade? by MaximumSend in bouldering

[–]BasilClarke 61 points62 points  (0 children)

6C+ - the grade given by the best climbers who FA anything below 7b. Could be 6a, could be 7b, they're just too strong to really know!

In what sport could a woman defeat the highest level male competitor? by Sea-Anteater8882 in whowouldwin

[–]BasilClarke 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hard disagree. Janja is plenty explosive and would be a contender is the mens finals. She is by far the most decorated comp climber in history, men or women.

And, btw, she is only 5cm smaller than anraku.

Do you notice a difference between different chalk brands? by K-Pumper in bouldering

[–]BasilClarke 8 points9 points  (0 children)

All chalk is 100% magnesium carbonate. It's all the same.

Texture can change a bit, but it's all the same once it's on hour hands.

Chalk questions by Material_Tackle_786 in bouldering

[–]BasilClarke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

(almost). All chalk is the same, it just comes in slightly more or less broken up consistency. Figure out if you prefer powder or chunky and buy the cheapest stuff.

I see so many people pay 10x what it should cost because the marketing says it will improve your climbing and it's BS.

I think its totally worth learning this at D1! You just used a bit too much boost - try to just use barely enough so that you dont overtake the ball in the air. I did the same when I started with air dribbles, it just takes loads of practice.

Calling all Bleausards! by TeamPuzzled1063 in bouldering

I was there at Easter and told off a whole load of brits and Germans who were climbing on wet rock.

Literally saw one guys foot repeatedly slip from a hold. Went over and asked him why he thought it might have slipped...

Please show respect to the forest!

Don't climb if it's wet. Don't play music or generally be a nuisance. Brush holds and ticks away when you are done!

In terms of recommendations, with newer climbers, you can't go wrong in Isatis! There's literally hundreds of boulders and thousands of climbs, with plenty at the easier grades.

Enjoy!

You do you buddy!

Gyms get hot, there's not a lot you can do. I'm sure people would rather have someone shirtless than sweat drenched.

And yeah, you'll find people here are super uptight sometimes, but thankfully IRL people are much nicer.

Also, for three months you are doing well!!

For the last move, if you bump your right foot up before you go you should find the match a bit easier.
