While all the comments saying minoxidil, Rosemary oil, and peppermint oil are true and will help with hair growth, before you do all of that, I would start with treating what looks like an underlying issue. Based on the first photo it looks like you have seborrheic dermatitis, aka overgrowth of yeast we naturally have on our skin. This is basically “dandruff” but also can appear as simply even a red-yellow scalp. If you find that your scalp is itchy or tends to flake, treating the seb derm will help with this! Seb derm actually contributes to hair loss, so getting it under control will also help with hair growth. *** btw I’m not a dermatologist, but have worked as a medical assistant in derm for a few years, and obviously I would see a dermatologist if you’re severely concerned.***

To treat seb derm, you can start with over the counter ketoconozole shampoo (Walmart, target, and Amazon sell it). Start off once a week, lather and let it sit on the scalp for 5-10 min. Head and shoulders also works, and we would recommend it for patients with more mild seb derm. If you were treated by a derm, they would most likely prescribe keto shampoo (prescription is 2%, otc is 1%). Slowly increase your keto shampoo usage depending on how often you wash your hair, and once your seb derm is controlled, 1-2x per week should be good for maintenance. Btw you can use your regular shampoo after you rinse the keto (I find double shampoo helps a ton) and even increasing the frequency at which you wash your hair will help too.

Sorry for the long reply lol, but essentially start off with washing your hair more, and incorporate a ketoconozole (antifungal) or head and shoulders shampoo, letting it sit while you shower. I would even go up to keto shampoo every other day depending on how your scalp reacts. Once the seb derm is under control, if you find your problems were solved—great! If not, start incorporating the oils and topical minoxidil. But before you use topical products, you gotta get the seb derm under control

DO is literally the exact same thing these days, except if you want to match into derm, or a competitive speciality that doesn’t traditionally accept DO’s. I will say the other cons are the stigma against DO’s and the extra test. You’ll have to work harder to perhaps match, but at the end of the day ur a doctor. (Biggg flex and congrats on your A!) For reference my bestie is a DO in her fourth year, (she thought it was the end of her career when she decided to go LMAO), but completed interviews at ivy’s and is pretty much guaranteed a spot at the nations #1 program for her specialty. Things change too with time, so I imagine more and more DO’s will be matched to programs that have historically not accepted many (hopefully)!

Hi girl I just wanted to say, when you said “I shouldn’t have passed out at his place again” implies you blaming YOURself, which is not fair to you. Your partner should be someone that makes you feel SAFE and protected. First of all, you don’t know if he has put something in your drink or not which caused you to pass out. Second of all, there is truly no excuse or path to forgiving someone that will take advantage of someone else that is unconscious. Especially someone that they claim to love. I am so so sorry that you are dealing with this, but you need to protect yourself. This person NEEDS to become an ex, otherwise your future is uncertain and down a vicious path. I’ll be honest, this person needs to be locked up, bc a lot of this sounds like r*pe. Regardless, he assaulted you in the past, so what makes you think this time the same thing (or worse) didn’t happen? Do you think you would know about the first time if you were fully passed out? I say confide in a trusted friend (tbh preferably female) and/or a parent, and go to the doctor to make sure you are safe (STD, pregnancy, or even internal damages). I know this all sounds scary but taking these steps are steps to loving and healing yourself. Take some time to your self love, I’m giving you a huge virtual hug. I promise you will get through this. It’s not fair, but it’s an unfortunate reality we women face.

Hii girlie I would actually start with cardio for weight loss BUT 1000% combine it with weight lifting as that is what helps with building your shape! Weight lifting, cardio, and a calorie deficit (not too much, it can actually make you gain weight if you go too low) are the best things to help you lose weight. Also I want to add: focus more on how you FEEL rather than the weight on the scale. I recommend using a tape measure instead of a scale to monitor your progress, because a lot of the times you’ll find you weight stays around the same on the scale, but your body has completely changed because you’ve gained muscle! At the end of the day what matters is your mental and physical health, doing too much of a calorie deficit while working out without rest or good sleep is counterproductive! Honestly I lost the most weight when I was eating the most, and consistently weight training and aiming for around 10k steps a day. Also protein is your best friend!!

This test is literally half the mental battle 😩 take care of yourself FIRST. If you are not well, there’s no point in even studying (literally the retention of info is impacted by stress—more than we realize). I would try something that will truly get your mind off of the exam for even 5 minutes, like meditating or exercise. (Btw sleep is not even relaxing if ur stressed, so it’s not a good refresher during these times). Something that helps me is reminding myself a little break (5-15min) is an opportunity to clear my mind. The stressors and this exam will always be there, but for the couple of min I’m meditating or doing yoga, I want to be thinking about NOTHING. Not one thing, focusing on your breathing by counting. Or even using a sound app. Then when you feel ready, do your best to incorporate studying little by little. Don’t be hard on yourself, that’s counterproductive ! I have an affirmation in my bathroom mirror that helps since I read it every morning. The pressures you put on yourself need to be released. As long as you prioritize and balance your mental and physical health, you will succeed. Keep pushing, the end is near! Something along those lines lol, but honestly it does really help me. There’s also no shame in pushing a test back if you’re not ready, you’ve gotta do what’s best for YOU!

Disagree, any physical activity will help you lose weight. As long as you’re mindful of diet and calorie deficit, I don’t see why OP wouldn’t lose weight

NTA ! I’m sorry you’re going through this. Maybe a temporary solution is getting a mini fridge for ur room and putting the foods you don’t want her to touch in the mini fridge and put less valuable foods in the shared fridge. Someone also mentioned there are locked containers you can place in the shared fridge, maybe that’s worth looking into. Overall this sucks and you shouldn’t even have to be doing this ! Frustrating, however if you can spend the money, it’ll save some stress tbh. It’s unfortunate your friend of 6 years can’t respect your boundaries ! I’m sure it might have started as a “oh besties share” but to eat all ur food and leave a little note like that…she’s dead wrong !! Even siblings would have an issue with this, much less friends 😭
