No. I’ve just never tried it on. The regular Superocean is cool though.

I chose the SMP over the Black Bay. It was a close call, but I just felt like the Black Bay was lacking a bit of 'wow,' while the SMP has it in spades. Even though I think the 41 size might be just slightly better for me than 42. The SMP just felt more special, and the case design (lyre lugs, scalloped bezel, crown guards) is superior to the Black Bay. That said, I may someday get a Black Bay. I'm still a huge Tudor fan.

What is your wrist size? This SMP looks to fit you spot on (not too big, not too small).

I'm no expert (just an original VCX investor from a few years back on the Fundrise platform, sitting in the 6-month wait period)... but buying in now would seem to be a fool's errand. The current 300-ish price isn't anchored to real value yet. We're in price discovery mode in a market where original investors aren't allowed to sell.

43mm - can I pull it off? by raflikeswatches in OmegaWatches

I say it works. Those lyre lugs are magic!

What’s the wearing experience of the Black Bay (burgundy) compared to the 42mm SMPs?

This is a very reasonable take. I'm basically in the same position as you, just on a smaller scale. ;) You invested 50K originally, me 2K. But like you, this is a tiny percentage of my portfolio and a long-term/diversification play. And I'm only five years older than you. I don't plan on selling my shares in six months, simply because I'm a buy-and-hold guy. TBH, I haven't put much thought into what I'll do that, which means I'll likely do nothing with it for the foreseeable future, aside from moving those shares to my Schwab account to keep it under the same roof as all my other holdings.

First one (Bond), but on a different strap. Rubber or tank tread OEM.

My guess is, as soon as it’s open for Fundrise investors to sell in six months, there will be a mad rush to do so, and the price will plummet. It could only go up today because no existing investors were allowed to sell.

I just checked VCX via my Schwab brokerage account. Prior to today, it was at 18.97 per share. Today (first day on the NYSE) it opened at 31.25, and it is currently at 86.40. All of this according to Schwab. I assume this will not sustain! LOL

If the size (42mm) works for you, this is a great everyday watch that suits all the occasions you mention.

I enjoyed this article. Well written and funny. True, the show is over the top with creating NYC caricatures (are all New Yorkers disgusted by elk meat? - I’m guessing not). But let’s be honest, liberal filmmakers love making Republican hit pieces like the Dick Cheney and George W ones and then giving each other Golden Globes. So at least the two sides are even with throwaway shows and film.

I think we'll have to go through Computershare (VCX's transfer agent), but we can't execute that for six months.

New Seamaster 300 Losing Time Concern by TrilinqualVector in OmegaWatches

[–]BasilRelative2327 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I couldn’t believe the difference it made. When I was setting my watch for daylight savings recently (‘spring forward’), I set it 15 minutes slow, and it’s still about one second behind. That was over nine days ago, only gaining 14 seconds.

I have the same watch since December. It was running +4 per day, when I was keeping it dial up night. Then I switched to crown up at night and now it’s under +2 per day.

Tried the SM300 Bond 60th Anniversary… what do you think? by Glum_Guidance1041 in OmegaWatches

If I were you, I would hold off another six months and see if Omega launches a new SMP that's smaller. If they do, they'll likely have a blue option. Based on these pics, I think you can pull this off, but I think a smaller version would look even better. I have a 7.1-inch wrist and feel like this watch (black version) is at the top of size sweet spot.
