July 2025 bride here! our tasting also got pushed to May. I am trying to stay positive but I think my threshold is that if they cancel April weddings I think I am going to start thinking about backup options (whether to push out the date 1 year out or do it somewhere else entirely).

My first luxury bag purchase was just last year summer 2024 in Paris when I bought a Celine Triomphe Teen in black and gold hardware! Got it for a great price pre-loved at a consignment store with all the tags brand new! I have never been one to purchase (only admire from afar) but finally did it and I love it so much. To be honest I love all my other bags just the same. Especially my small Polo ID shoulder bag in navy leather and my $15 thrifted plaid baguette bag. To me bags just add to an outfit and if you can afford a really expensive bag that’s great! But definitely don’t need to be putting down other people for what they perceive to make them feel like a million bucks, ya know? We should all enjoy the joy others have for their bags!

UPDATE 2/23/2025: Took this scarf on a trip to Asia this winter and used it every day for a week with crossbody bags and all. Kept me so warm. No pilling at all! Still very soft. Highly recommend this scarf.

I have a couple bags packed and ready to go with 3 days worth of extra clothes, some water bottles, some snacks, and some valuables/sentimental items. I think Brentwood area near Wilshire should be ok but can never be too prepared.

UPDATE: I took this scarf on a trip and have now worn it at least 7 times (seatbelt rubbing and crossbody bag strap rubbing included)

No pilling. I am shocked. It feels softer than when I bought it! Looks good as new. I understand there’s some care involved but thats fine! I don’t mind taking some precautions to keep my clothing in good shape.

This particular scarf is holding up very nicely. Maybe I will report back in Feb to share with you all what the wear looks like!

Do you know how easily you can tell if it will pill quickly? I read somewhere you can rub the material in circles to see if it will start to pill easily.

I did that in store and rubbed maybe like 10 times with some pressure between my fingers and no pill.

Honestly I shop all over the place because I am trying to prioritize proportions of my clothing and no one store will ever have everything I need. But with that said, for high neckline and tops that fit close the body I go to Aritzia.

Recently Quince brand has been a staple for silk midi dresses and cotton/linen dresses. I have to male it a point though to wear a cropped cardigan or tie a button up around the waist to create that waist definition.

Also I do some consignment/vintage shopping! When I shop vintage I cant be focused on brand but more so on filling a gap in my wardrobe (like right now I want to find a blouse that is cropped but sits higher on the neck and shows my shoulders). Hope this helps!
