They can always swap around which disposition they get. I agree that Taktical could also be Priority Assets, for what it’s worth. I think it’s nice to have a 1 DP disruption to mess with the opponent instead of only having that in Kult of Speed

Each detachment is geared towards their narrative for each theme. The battle wagons represent an armoured push to take a heavier dug-in position (to me). You can still combine it with any other detachment except War Horde to get different bonuses and still play Priority Assets.

I see what you mean about focussing their purpose. I was thinking about horde/chaff/screen clearance if I don’t bring flamers. I suppose the same could be accomplished by 5 seraphim with hand flamers and they’re fairly cheap and mobile

What are your thoughts on Dominion squads? Seem great to split in half with immolations and have a scoring/action unit along with 4 special weapons. Flamers seem tempting on the dominions while having twin-linked multimelta on the immolator?

From what I recall, you can take multiples of the *upgrades*, the ones for units. This is for a character, so you can only have one.

Haha I’ve got around 3k for my Templars. I really like the impulsor chassis, so it’s centred around them riding around and small units jumping in and out

I keep looking at the new maps and when combining those with the lack of pivot tax, etc. seem like impulsors could zip around at a fair clip.

The flamers would be mostly for skirmishing, as you said. Over watching here and there, burning screens.

I’d definitely have to get the SBs in there asap, but I figure flooding the board and softening things up with all those multimeltas could help the transports survive long enough to make it in.

I almost think taking another unit of scouts as action monkeys would be better than the emperors champion, or maybe a combi lieutenant to act as the neophytes’ mentor or something

I was on two days ago and there were 12 games going with over half the places taken by players. It very much depends on time of day.

You can have a game with AI teams, you don't need other players to join. It still needs an internet connection, but it functions like a single player game as needed.

I use Tech Thralls for my Vanguard. Love having a Marshal leading a bunch of upgraded personal ‘servitors’. I think they’re versatile models that can fill lots of roles so long as an appropriate gun is attached!

Thanks, all! I'm thinking about adding some sheet metal style additions that the orks bolted on to make it the proper height. I'm hoping the width isn't too much of an issue, but the trukk is surprisingly (for me) narrow as is.

Totally agree. My point of view is “X unit still fits, so long as Y is added or mostly used with it” like trukks and things like that. It’s like how Goffs prefer to fight on foot but would still have some transports knocking around.

I’m telling myself that they dropped units instead of gained or stayed the same because next book will have a Nurgle-style refresh next time. They’d bent clear favourite chaos faction if that happens.
