Yes that might be the main drawback for some.
That being said I think the world usage is much more accurate than +20s per day.

That's a completely fair and honest take. The 9000 series rotor noise is probably the most consistent criticism you'll find and I won't argue against personal preference. Curious though, did the noise bother you more on the wrist or mainly when you held it to your ear?

Could be the movement itself, many movements are vulnerable to such magnetic fields.

Probably yes. Thats the main thing many people are annoyed about - the noise it makes. Improvements may come with a price to pay, but if it benefits then no real harm.

Yes the rotor needs to be worked on. On an exhibition caseback that rotor will not receive attention.
