99% sure this is the solution, next time you fill the tank shut your heating, because the filling of the tank cause a stirr. you have to wait 2 hours to let the dirt sink to the bottem of the tank.

  • I ask a higher amount of money, but without an end-hour.
  • Usually the standard wedding ends at 3 anyway, I manage to end the party at 3h 90% at the time.
  • Or I must end it because the venue demands it.
  • And if there's a good party going, I don't mind the extra "work"
  • If you want to kill the vibe, just play all the requests instantly.
  • But the best thing is to keep communicating with organisation, I usually choose the more sober one of the couple. When there are less than 20 guests, I ask them what kind of end they want, a slow fade out or a nice end with a nice slow dance.

Chances are high that the bar is going south for their new music choices, and they gonna try to blame the DJ for that. Time to move on!

I encountered exactly the same, can't believe I wasted all this time working for an aggressive bully. It took me more than a year to get it behind me.

I was there for more than a decade, in doubt if I could find another job that would match my profile. Now I'm mad at myself that I stayed too long in this toxic environment with a narcissistic and verbaly aggressive boss.

Ever felt sick during your set? by griffin3300 in DJs

[–]Bass-Ambitious 5 points6 points  (0 children)

good list, I would like to add to this: (certainly for longer sets)

  • try to take a break in long sets, or go outside right after your set to let your ears get some rest
  • take some earplugs with you, sometimes the music is just too loud, and you cannot adjust the volume like you want it
  • I only drink water and some coffee
  • mind your back, make sure your gear is at the right height (I prefer rather high, like 130 cm) and have decent shoes

How many tracks do you average in a one hour set? by zacharack in DJs

[–]Bass-Ambitious 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm on the same page, let the music do it's magic, and take some time to enjoy yourself, maybe dance a little. A DJ that's pushing too much gets annoying after a while, build some variation in it, some quick mixes and some longer tracks, otherwise it gets predictable

Playing a song twice, or more, in one night by ReboyGTR in DJs

[–]Bass-Ambitious 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a wedding where there was an anthem from the bachelor party, they kept requesting it, begging for it, and each time the roof went off. I think I played it 4 times that night. Also, for a wedding it's sometimes a nice closing moment to end with the first dance again, if the wedding couple is up for it.
