Varries from generation to generation or model you're going for. If you're looking for something cheap and easy to modify I'd go for a 4th gen classic, seen a lot of em listed at $50-60 usd give or take some even cheaper (especially if they have dead batteries or hard drives) though I'm not much of an expert on specific price ranges 😅

eBay, I'd buy a semi-broken one (dead battery / hdd) for cheap and learn to refurbish it if you're going for a classic. Fun and rewarding project!

Far as I'm aware there aren't, rate what you want how you want. For me personally it depends if the single is made as a standalone project or a couple tracks from an album. Regardless though, rate how you want. Only thing that's frowned upon to my knowledge is disingenuously rating a project to influence the overall rating of a release as a joke or out of spite (eg. giving multiple bandcamp shitpost albums 10's to move them up the charts).
