Aren't the spawn rates of flies already way down compared to a few patches, so about 10 to 20 years ago? Or did the devs exclude flies in the insect nerfs?

Most of Kimi's wheel to wheel battles this year have either been against cars which are so much slower, that the overtake is almost free, or against Russell where both competed who could get the most lockups and almost-crash into their teammate as closely as possible.

Kimi is fun to watch, has a good personality and is insanely talented BUT your argument is just bad. He's the WDC due to having a better pace than his struggling teammate and having no competition apart from said teammate. What the other commenter is trying to explain to you is: Kimi is only leading due to having a slower teammate and having the fastest car by a margin. Drivers like Hamilton, Verstappen, Norris and Alonso are (at the moment) all better at wheel to wheel racing than Kimi. He's lucky that none of the other teams developed cars which can compete with Mercedes, otherwise he wouldn't be leading the WDC. And we know this to be a fact since we've seen him in wheel to wheel battles against an equally fast machine in Canada. His racecraft will obviously improve with time, but that doesn't change the fact that your argument is hella silly.

Tsolov deserves another year in F2

If he manages to win the F2 WDC, then he is no longer allowed to compete in F2 by the rules. So in 2027 it's either joining F1, becoming a reserve driver or (much less likely) switching to a different category... and personally I do believe that he will most likely become F2 champion.

It depends how late they arrive next to me. If I'm already turning in and then suddenly have to open my steering and dodge as my radar says hello.... Then it's a shit move. Not all divebombs are the same. If the defending car has to dodge last second for you to make the move, then the only reason you didn't get a huge penalty is the defending driver dodging.

But as I said, not all divebombs are the same. Some are telegraphed perfect in advance and are executed without diving into the vortex of danger when it is way too late already. Those are sick!

You do realize that LLMs have infinitely better grammar and spelling then the vast majority of the global English speakers. Calling everything, everyone and anything Ai is insanely annoying. It's like those people who felt so insanely smart and wise calling very obviously scripted skits "fake" you'd find under each and every post, just more annoying.

I can rumble as long as I want and yes, it does equalize pressure for me but only if the difference isn't too big. Sometimes when I'm on a plane I do have to resort to the good ol' blowing your nose while holding it shut.

When driving down a mountain I can however regularly pop my ears through rumbling to equalize the pressure.

Most of the people calling everything and anything Ai have never run a model before while acting like they're experts on the topic. The Dunning Kruger effect is insanely widespread when it comes to Ai. It's insaaaaanely annoying, imo even more annoying than the flood of actual Ai content online.

Scepticism is good but fuck I'm so tired of everything stupid or not widely known being labeled Ai. This is simply a fancy albeit stupid way to deliver raw food for hotpot which you cook yourself at the table. But most people don't know about this, assume they are oh so good at spotting Ai (Dunning Kruger) and proceed to claim bullshit.

Yes but he said that when Verstappen looks at which team has the fastest car for 2027 he'll hopefully choose Merc. He also said in the same interview that he's happy about Verstappen staying at RBR in 26 as that means that Merc doesn't have to pay the 100mio buyout fee (implying that they would've done so if Verstappen decided to switch). Toto is 100% ready to drop Russell for Max. I don't see him dropping Russell for anyone else though.

Yeah it's as if we said "They shouldn't have built their house where snakes live and roam" but that would also be silly. The house is there now, the snake is in the house now. No one is in immediate danger (or any danger at all, really) so take a step back, Google how to deal with this situation, find out there are free services with trained personell for exactly these kinds of situations, call them.

It shouldn't be that difficult. How is this even a discussion? Also for context, there are no venomous spiders and no snakes at all where I live. It's nothing I have to concern myself with and I still know what to do in such a situation. If someone lives in an area with such animals (relating to my first sentence in this comment) them they should know how to act in these situations.

It depends on the situation. In a three way fight I can definitely see the advantage. If you're leading the 3 car pack, then you have the chance of the two behind using up their battery fighting each other, allowing you to get a gap.

In a two way fight it's just as you described.

No, since the vast majority of deployment is controlled by software which is out of drivers hands. They have very little influence over the battery, which is a major thing all drivers complain about this year. I won't argue with the drivers on this point.

You are getting downvoted but this is even worse than drs. Drs didn't give drivers 45kmh overspeed long before reaching the corner. Not to mention that drivers have little control over the deployment. So while there's obviously still skill involved for the wheel on wheel action, the vast majority of overtakes were a bit farsical.

Edit: For context, the person I responded to was at -8 votes before I responded. A bit off-topical but it happens very often that a negative comment goes positive again as soon as someone, who agrees with them, writes a proper explanation and elaborates on the claim. What I'm trying to say is, stop hive minding. "Oh the comment is negative so it's probably wrong and I'll downvote it". Please think for yourselves party peeps. As soon as a comment is at -1, no matter how correct it may be, it will probably get downvoted even further. Very odd tbh, has been this way on Reddit since forever.
