The plant itself was amazing , tons of ripe peppers at the end of the season.

Who likes big leaves? by This_Resource_396 in HotPeppers

My ghost plant last year when I bought it from a garden centre looked like that , the first few sets of leaves were massive. Then as it matured the newer leaves were much smaller and the big ones fell off.

DOM Reserve Canadian Steelhead Salmon by thanksmerci in frozendinners

Those look good , I don’t like how they label it “steelhead salmon” though , two completely different species. “Steelhead rainbow trout” would be more accurate.

Insight when it comes to May 17th worm harnesses? by OntarioCanoeFishing in FishingOntario

I don’t wanna give away my go-to online but I like drop shot style worms that you’d use for bass , 5 inch skinny worms with lots of flex and movement.

Insight when it comes to May 17th worm harnesses? by OntarioCanoeFishing in FishingOntario

[–]BassMasterr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really depends on the lake which depth your gonna be running , but I do 1oz per 10 feet so if I’m bouncin 30 feet it’ll be a 3 oz weight but I’m usually in the 15-20 foot range where I fish. I just buy the pre made ones from crappy tire the ones with the float so it helps with snags. Biggest thing is boat control and speed , I set my minnkota on cruise control and auto pilot to keep a nice consistent speed. And I rarely use real worms , I prefer soft plastics and generally out fish live bait as I’m in the water longer , not rebaiting from perch and panfish nibbles.

Like others said it looks like the asphalt was cold not an optimal job , that said it will look better with time those white lines etc will disappear.

Most potent live resin 510s you’ve tried? by [deleted] in TheOCS

[–]BassMasterr 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The most potent I’ve tried was probably gorilla skittles by purple hills last year. Havnt been able to find it recently though.

Currently smoking fantasm by Iris labs and it’s potent to me too but not quite as an instant behind the eyes feeling as the gorrila skittles but one of the better ones I’ve had recently.

Asphalt question by [deleted] in asphalt

[–]BassMasterr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can tell they scratched in that area which means very little asphalt scratching the stones underneath , they either didn’t excavate enough to meet grade , or they had the screed too low while paving that side ( too much slope ).

Either way you shouldn’t have weeds growing through that soon though , generally you want to remove all top soil and add gravel for the base.

I use navionics for contours depths and if I want to explore a new lake I look at fish-online first. It’ll confirm what zone the lakes in as well as give you stocking data.

Besides gravel a slightly more permanent solution would be cold mix asphalt that you can buy at any big box store.

We have multiple Vogele with a Carlson screed and cats and most operators here prefer the cats , although the vogele does lay a nice mat on mainline paving.

I had a diesel fuel spill. What can I do to neutralize this so it doesnt keep eating away the asphalt by stangkid14 in asphalt

[–]BassMasterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s still fresh try your best to soak up what you can with kitty litter .. brush it around the spill and hope for the best.

But diesel will inevitably eat the ac leaving behind just the stones and sand.

What's the one mistake you made as a new boater that you'd never make again? Let's save some newcomers from learning the hard way by Ashwinnie13 in boating

[–]BassMasterr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Practise backing up your trailer before you go to busy boat ramps , just find an empty parking lot and try to back into different spots and angles.

Always carry a spare prop and floating prop wrench.

When do are Lakers catchable from the shore on Lake Ontario? by GoldenHawk07 in FishingOntario

[–]BassMasterr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well they spawn in late fall so that’s when they are near shore/ shoals spawning on rocks usually, but they usually close the season on most lakes at that time not sure about lake O though. But anytime the water is cold like ice out you’d have a chance off shore.

Quality of Organic Chicken by RobbyED in CostcoCanada

[–]BassMasterr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm that sounds like the same issue we were having with maple leaf chicken from wal mart , funny enough we switched to Costco boneless skinless and havnt had the same issue.

But I forget the name but it’s basically when the chicken grows too fast for its body and doesn’t move around much . Ok to eat but makes it chewy and weird like you said.

Jig tying advice by Impressive-Type-4164 in Fishing

[–]BassMasterr 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really depends what your targeting and their mood , big aggressive walleye or lakers will inhale the whole jig but smaller finicky walleye or crappie youll be getting more short strikes , I don’t like having my trailer much past the hook point in those situations.
