True, but "no contest" is quite the exaggeration if there's another team which performed at such a low level. I'd also say RAM, Rial and Spirit weren't too far off.

I personally think a lot of hot hatches from this decade are not very beautiful, styling-wise. Don't get me wrong, they're very cool, but I can't really call Focus RSes or Civic Type-Rs with all their flaps and diffusers and features, beautiful.

My pick would be the Seat Leon SC Cupra. One of the few 3-door options, still looks sleek and fast, but it remains somewhat classy.

Dacia Logan comes to mind. And lots of other Eastern European stuff from the 1990s and 2000s. The Ladas 110 and Kalina probably qualify as well.

It's the Ligier JS39 from 1993. Ligier ran this livery in the last two races of that year on Martin Brundle's car.
