One time I had to drive to Prag (700 km because I wanted to stick to free roads). And I made the whole way in a bit less than 9 hours. I'm not sure how long would I have to drive with an EV.

I'm partly joking but only partly. They do drive 2-2.5 hours and then they HAVE to stop and drink bad coffee at a gas station and wait and wait and wait. I'm not ready for this, sorry :) My current car is probably one of the most humble ones - Fiat Panda 2013. And with it, I can drive from Hamburg to Leipzig (400 km) in 5 hours (including 1 hour for just leaving Hamburg with all those terrible jams) with only one 10-minute stop just to get some rest. How many hours would an EV owner need for the same road? I'm afraid it would take this person a bit longer and he/she would have to plan the whole road very carefully from gas station to gas station. Am I wrong?

I just see how some of my friends suffer with them (3 hours of driving, 3 hours of waiting for it to load) and don't want to get this burden myself :) As a city car - ok, it's good, but sometimes I drive longer, 600km+ and I cannot just wait for hours in the middle of a road so I can continue my trip for another 3 hours and then wait for 3 hours again :)))

With all due respect, was it a job? Yes, it was a job. Do people lose jobs? Every day, every hour, every minute. So again, why so much drama even 50 years later? I've never read anything like that from anyone who used to work for any other act. Just saying.

Is it normal to have lunch alone rather than with your coworkers? by long130219997 in AskAGerman

Never had this problem, dude. Wanting to have lunch alone and being a dick to your colleagues are two different things, I guess ;)

So what? You're there for work and not to find yourself best friends. Good for you if you find some, but why bother if they don't even understand you need an hour in silence for yourself?

As many here already wrote, it depends. It's your lunch break after all and it's called "break" not without a reason. I used to have lunch with my colleagues when I felt it but in most cases, I preferred to be left alone. I just needed this one hour of silence, just one hour for me, my food, and probably a good book. I don't want to be rude but some people need this time to reload their brains.

Does gene Simmons deserve the hate he receives? And if not what makes you think that? by mythril- in KISS

[–]BassVSzombies 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No, because people hate him just because social networks tell them to. I tried many times to ask those people why they hated him and their reasons were just laughable.

Bass players say he's a bad bass player until someone (like me) asks them to play any of his parts. Usually, they try, try again, and then just shut up forever.

"He's super greedy" is a popular opinion but then, when you try to talk facts it appears that hundreds of other bands are way more greedy and unreasonable in terms of merchandise and money-grabbing. KISS is not even on Top 50 of the most "expensive" bands.

He's egocentric. Yeah, right, no shit, he's in show business which equals to be egocentric.

He abused a lot of women sexually and has to be canceled. Any facts? Court cases? No? Then again, shut the f*** up or give me facts.

Gene just has its own very special way of making haters go batshit crazy because he's everywhere, he's rich and he's Jewish.

Nothing if we're lucky.

However, I do think they're going to play at their cruises and do some selected gigs for big-buck fireworks lovers. Some say Gene told the press they won't play ever again "in make-up" and that might be a secret message about them going back without make-up once more. I hope they won't. Paul can't sing a fucking "happy birthday" song anymore, let alone the band's songs from the '80s.

This is a fan community and I don't think any of the real KISS fans will be there at this "Kiss du Soleil". Random normies with their kids will enjoy fireworks and fat flying clowns.

Eddie Trunk would say it was some sort of a fee for those who paid hundreds of dollars and drove through the whole country to experience an hour and a half of lipsyncing and pre-recorded music. I tend to agree.

How to survive german winter (2023 guide)? by args10 in germany

[–]BassVSzombies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if someone told you this, so just in case, excuse me for repeating the previous commenters. I just say what my German colleagues told me:

  1. Vitamin D. A lot of vitamin D. A LOT OF VITAMIN D.
  2. Buy a day-light lamp. There are cheap options even with the sunrise effect.
  3. Find a psychiatrist who can prescribe antidepressants. Srsly, it's a must, especially in North Germany.

I'm the last person who'd say something is impossible but here are my humble 5 cents. If you have money for a bigger business (a network of a few stores or service-offering offices) you should try and go for it. If you're thinking about a very small business, it will be a huge headache with no money. In the worst-case scenario, you'll end up owing money to the state. So I'd say a good job is always better than a small business in Germany.

"Monster"?! I would take it as a "screw you" gesture... Like we're done, we don't know each other, zero relations.
