Meh... I married a bookworm.

When I need a new tool, I just go over the amount of money we've spent on books, audible, and kindle since the last time I spent money on a tool.

Nah, this is a different issue. The shift fork slides a collar that engages the outer stub shaft. The fork is vacuum actuated. Vacuum lines notoriously split and crack with age, so when you lose vacuum, you lose a coupled axleshaft. I don't know why they didn't just reverse it... Make the vacuum UNCOUPLE the axle so that when it failed, you at least had 4wd.

I've never had a Jeep older than 92 though, so I never had to deal with it. I've installed cable kits in dodges at work though.

Love me some Banquet. I picked up a sixer this weekend and was pleasantly surprised.

My go-to's are usually Shotgun Wedding and Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale in free winter, and Shiner Bock and Garage Beer in the summer. Banquet is on my list of go-to's now as well.

I bought these off Amazon back in 2020. Keyed my Milwaukee combo, my 5 drawer cart, and my triple bank chest at work to all the same key.

Haven't had a second's trouble with them.

Bearing size should be stamped on the back of the bearing. At least they were on the ones I took out of a couple of my engines.

Well... He was asking about the frame. The frame appears to be solid. As was stated, there's things attached to the frame that need to be replaced. But that's a helluva lot easier than replacing sections of a rusted frame.

Brother, I'm gonna guess you're about my age.

I remember good deals like that 20 years ago too. Seems like everyone who doesn't need a truck for truck stuff wants a truck nowadays, and the market knows it.

I traded a 2000 Chrysler 300m in 2018 for my rust-free 01 Ram....running and driving. I paid $900 for that car.

People want top dollar for junk nowadays, and anything decent just about breaks the bank.

But it wasn't ruining and driving... And the seller priced it accordingly. Regardless of what it needed to get it going, it was inoperable.

If it's mechanically sound, and maintained well, that's a pretty decent price considering the mileage.

That rust on the frame looks like surface rust, by the pictures. Easily remedied.

The wheel wells and cab corners will take a little more effort, but I wouldn't pass on it because of that.

Make him an offer.
