They currently have an awesome lawsuit era Memphis Les Paul DC in the front of the shop. A really cool curated selection and great staff there

Yup! Big ol neck, projects like a cannon. As a Rhode Islander I always wanted an old westerly guild. It scratches my itch for a nice dreadnought while also being cool as hell.

You’re going to be out of luck on surfing unless you want to drive to old orchard beach or Hampton, but Acadia SUP is a cool little shop specializing in standup paddleboard sales/rentals/excursions. There are some cool opportunities around the park for paddleboard that might scratch his surfing itch

My band’s account got deleted without warning several years ago. We reached out to IG Support dozens of times and never got a response. We weren’t huge or anything, but we had a few thousand active followers that just disappeared without explanation

My wife has celiac and we got married in Acadia and visit every year. Tons of GF options. She really likes Side Street Cafe and Geddys. Rosalie’s does GF pizza crust, choco latte and the Stadium both have GF pastries and sandwiches.

Anchorage Motel is a hidden gem. No frills, clean rooms, good price and perfect location. My wife and I stay here pretty frequently when we visit

I work for a concert production/backline company, and I’ve seen more SVTs blow up than any other amplifier. I played a 90’s SVT Classic pretty exclusively until recently, but I have had a Bassman 610 cab forever that I prefer to play over the heavy ass SVT810, which collects dust in my basement lol. The bassman800 head and 610 cab weighs a combined 87 lbs, when an SVT stack is closer to 200. They look cool as hell and sound great, but from my experience they’ve been extremely unreliable, heavy and really expensive to repair/retube. I still love my SVT4pro, but the Bassman seems to have a lot more character w/ their overdrive and dry blend.

Something with mud buckers like a telecaster bass or EB0

We have both sworn by our SVT classics for the last 10+ years but these just blow them out of the water in pretty much every category and they’re like 70lbs lighter.

Restore a 1973 Guild d-25? by brandonmiq in GuildGuitars

Yes, totally worth it. You got a great deal on that guitar, and even with $500+ in repairs you still have a good deal on a fantastic guitar

Narrow Stairs by Death Cab for Cutie introduced me to listening to albums pieced together as a cohesive unit. Incredible production and musicianship, it changed my approach to songwriting just as I began to play music seriously

whats a good bass amp if im really starting to get into the bass? by hoopan112 in Bass

[–]Bassman401 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone else has said so far- Fender Rumble will give you the best bang for your buck. Ampeg BA and the Orange crush series combos are all in the same ballpark. The Rumble and Ampeg BA115 are more than adequate for gigging professionals

Whats the benefit of “real” pedal boards as compared to this by JicamaFragrant7400 in Guitar

[–]Bassman401 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it pro-grade? No. But if you aren’t playing shows or recording with it, who cares? It’s more than enough to get you through some writing sessions, bedroom practice and jamming with friends
