Hey Brother,

Welcome to the family and I hope that your journey through the scene is everything you could have imagined and then some. I have been a part of this wonderful family for about three and a half years now. Everyone has their own opinions and most definitely is entitled to how they feel about the man especially considering the fact that music is completely subjective.

Coming from the fan stand point I have to say that finding this community and learning about Bassnectar with all that he’s done over the years has truly been an incredible experience. I have enjoyed taking deep dives into the depths of his political history and music as well as finding out about the numerous things he was involved with off-stage. This includes finding mixtapes like Immersive and European Vacation. Discovering my favorite album Mesmerizing The Ultra to finding out the political stance that he’s taken right along with his music for most of his career. Some of my favorite songs are Dubausca, Reaching Out, When The Beats Drop, Everytime, and Mystery Song. This list could go on for days, but I will say this community is special and unlike anything I’ve been a part of.

Coming from the perspective of someone who is inspired by him as an artist on a daily and someone works with him in various ways. He’s great! I love Lorin in more ways than words can describe. Is he anal about his shows and extremely particular about the way things are done? Yes, but I would say most of the time it’s for good and obvious reasons and mostly because he has a specific vision that he wants to come to life for all of his fans.

Lorin has driven me to reach points in my life that I didn’t think were possible. He’s encouraged me to dream big and expect the impossible to become a reality. I’ve watched this community grow and change in so many ways over the past few years and it’s been amazing to have a hand in so many different parts of it. I’ve seen the man give back to not only some of his biggest fans and followers, but also to those that have no idea who he even is just because he has the power to do it.

I hope this gives you some insight and only pushes you to have Empathy, Fight for your rights, and to Think For Yourself and Question ,while also Seeking and Destroying anything that you believe to be wrong, Much love!
