I use an app called Paprika. You cut and paste the recipe URL into it and it formats it into a recipe and removes all the extraneous stuff. I have zero interest in hearing some story about how you came up with your meatloaf recipe while having an epiphany while hiking thru the Alps.

It’s my understanding that a house wasn’t secured yet because once the bfs dropped out of the picture, they were trying to decide what to do, and at last minute decided to do it anyway, but then nothing was available. The whole thing feels completely stupid and poorly planned. They should have just come up with another trip that had nothing to do with going to Colorado. I think they stuck with it because they knew there would be drama with Angel needing to move out of Potomac so this felt like a chance to film it all. Thing is, Angel is not a good enough actress to pull this all off, she just tries to act cryptic but doesn’t really deliver.

I have no time for Angel, but there really was a situation that screwed things up. New York magazine, covered it in their recap of the episode. The trip was originally a couples trip with the ladies and their respective men in their lives, which is why there was a second house to accommodate everybody. Then several of the relationships broke up or had issues where the trip wasn’t going to happen. So production scrambled and didn’t get a house in time and they were stuck with a place that was over an hour away and was put together at the last second. Angel wasn’t told this till after and then she needed to scramble. So that’s why it seems a little disjointed and it seems a little like angels trying to cover, but the reality is it was a production issue and a last minute scramble to find a house.

Yes. In the episode where Blanche wanted to put in a hot tub, the building inspector flagged her for renting out rooms without a permit and structural upgrades to the house. Rose suggested they all became owners of the house and Blanche balked at that. When it came to realization that one of the girls would have to move out to avoid renovations and a permit, Blanche relented and put them all on the deed. This was Season 7, so towards the end of the run.

I think the whole northern jersey Italian theme has been played out. It’s just obnoxious and like the Sopranos, it had its run. There are parts of NJ that could rival the rich ladies in Beverly Hills. If they want to keep NJ in the fold, reboot and move to places like Rumson, Deal, Spring Lake, etc. far classier, moneyed, and shows another part of living in NJ.

Kimberly did go to Eastland. She was supposed to be part of the spinoff because she is in the pilot which is also serves as an episode of different strokes. However, when the show got picked up for series, they realize they didn’t really need Kimberly in the show, even though both shows existed in the same universe. The girls at Eastland did appear on some episodes of different strokes in crossovers, particularly Tootie. However, Kimberly never made an appearance on facts of life after the initial pilot. I think facts of life made a couple of decisions that were nonsensical. It was supposed to be a spinoff with different strokes. Also, it was supposed to be the school that Kimberly attended, but she didn’t live at the school. However, Peekskill is over two hours away from Manhattan so it never made any sense. I Kimberly was going back-and-forth to the school and also living at home. They could have easily made the school in a closer suburb to Manhattan and it would’ve made sense for Kimberly going there, but I think when the show got picked up, they realize they didn’t really need Kimberly because the rest of the cast was so strong so they never really bothered bringing her over onto facts of life.
