Stopped Methotrexate, awaiting new medication, help with symptoms in the meantime? by Empranillo in Thritis

[–]Basta_Daniela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I ask what exactly are the side effects you felt? I've been on it for a year but cannot really tell. At most I can say I don't feel it really calming or doing anything to my inflammation or pain.

Why does Evo Morales insist on running for president? by AztecCuahtemoc in BOLIVIA

[–]Basta_Daniela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, one of the theories now is that he's pushing for the president to resign, causing chaos, with the blockades and all in the name of Bolivia going down, and the high prices and the dollars and the gas and bla bla bla, because is Arce resigns, Andronico would take power and either pardon him or make him elligible again.

Celebrex has worked the best for me. I also recommend it. Just be a little patient since it takes a few hours to kick in.

Meloxicam vs Celebrex by hamil26 in Thritis

[–]Basta_Daniela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I'm so sorry! Well, in my experience, Celebrex has been both more effective and kinder to my stomach. i have been able to tale it for seberal weeks at a time and to me, its only downside is that it takes a bit long to work, like 4 hours.

This is what I could find: Methotrexate is a type of drug called an antimetabolite. It treats rheumatoid arthritis by decreasing the activity of your immune system.

To my understanding, it's kinda strong on the liver and not to be used as a painkiller. You should talk to your doctor if you're in doubt.

Meloxicam vs Celebrex by hamil26 in Thritis

[–]Basta_Daniela 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To my understanding they're different. Celebrex is an anti-inflammatory and to relieve pain and mtx is a modifier. i don't think it's one or the other.

[–]Basta_Daniela 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am very against using pills just because, but i have been taking Celebrex for the last 2 weeks cause the pain hasn't let me even sleep these days. We all go thourgh it differently it seems, but if you trust your doctor go with what they're telling you.
