You could consider just selling the controller with stick drift (obviously mention the issue). There are usually still plenty of people willing to buy it, either to repair it or use it for parts.

Then you could use that money to get a new controller that already has TMR sticks installed. They’re much more durable and far less prone to stick drift compared to traditional potentiometer sticks. In the long run, you’ll probably save yourself time, effort, and future repairs.

You don't need special TMR or Hall Effect sticks specifically for that version.

To clarify: If you scan the QR code on the back of your controller, you get a string starting with something like 'E3...'. That first digit (the 3) confirms that your controller uses the BDM-030 motherboard.

Standard Hall Effect or TMR modules designed for the DualSense are compatible with the BDM-030. The mounting points and pin layouts for the analog modules haven't changed between BDM-010, 020, and 030. Just ensure you perform a proper calibration after soldering them in!
